Congrats! Quitting a job is so brave and rewarding, weird to say that but so true. I started a new job in September and quit by November. I was so unhappy and burnt out in less than three months. Did a lot of soul searching and crying but it was so empowering to quit. Now I’m at a job that cares about my mental health and workload. Is it the dream job, no, but when you’re surrounded by good people and you feel your purpose that’s what matters. So happy you’re finding your happiness!

I quit my my job as an RN last two years ago after almost 16 years in the field. It was not an easy decision, but life is too short to dread going to work everyday. No amount of money can buy real happiness, but friends I'm not asking you to resign from your job or abandon your business but be wise!

I totally felt the good vibes:) I'm a freelance translator and have a lot of free time too, because I'm selective about what assignments I take on and I'm generally fast. What I struggle with at times is not feeling guilty for having that free time. I often feel like I should be doing something, like volunteering, learning a new skill, or even taking on work that I don't enjoy that much, because who knows what tomorrow will bring. But it's also hard to commit to anything too time-consuming, because sometimes I have a lot of work and everything else falls by the wayside. I guess what I mean by this rant is that it's hard to find that sweet spot where you have enough work but not too much, where you feel challenged but not drained. And if anyone has any suggestions for how to enjoy abundant free time without guilt, I'm all ears.
