Today I go over my reflection after quitting my full time job to sell on ebay as a reseller fulltime. I also go over tips for potential new eBay sellers, and what's worked for me.

Same! Thank you for making this. I'm in the exact same situation as you. Been collecting and selling video games on Ebay as a hobby for almost 15 years. Just decided that I want to do this full time. I'm starting to dive into clothing and other categories. It's wild to realize how much there is out there that sells almost as well as games or even better. It's like fumbling around in the dark when your trying to learn new categories. I have about 250 listings and around 13k so far. Excited to dive into this journey and would love to see how yours goes as well. Cheers to being one of the brave ones and diving in full time! I'm curious how long it took you from start to taking the dive as a full timer

It was definitely a while before starting full time, never thought of it until I actually wanted to move on from my original job. Congrats on your success!

Congratulations on a year full time. Just this year I've gone from very sporadic hobby selling to part-time selling. I can see myself doing it full-time, but there's still a large learning curve, not so much the technical aspects but the daily consistency. Hope your tax bill is as small as possible and you get over 100k gross this year!

Grats on one year! I did the same thing been a full time seller since July of 23 quit my sales job and now I just sell stuff on ebay, local, and auction houses. I mainly focus on just comic books but looking to expand to general collectibles. I love it I have casually sold comics for years got burned out of the corporate world so now I love what I do. Best of luck hopefully you have another good year. Thanks for the video.

Oh and make a spread sheet of your inventory, you can basically write off good chuck of business expenses just need to establish a proper paper trail so save all receipts, all atm with draw receipts when buying collections, post office receipts, shipping material receipts etc.

Omg when you said no drama I totally agree. I just quit my healthcare job last week. No more drama coworkers to work with anymore. I sold last year as a part time seller besides working 40 hrs. Now I’m gonna do it full time. What I like about having my own business I can be my own boss & work as hard as I want & when I want.

@@albertsmith99 Healthcare starts in the kitchen & not at the Doctor’s Office. Can eliminate a lot of health issues by eating right. Really the only reason to see a Doctor is if a person has a broken bone that nutrition can’t fix. So no I don’t have health insurance. I don’t need it! I know a lot about nutrition & rather eat right than ever take a toxic prescription from any doctor & I used to work in Healthcare. That goes to show how much I believe in the healthcare industry. All it’s doing is making the doctors, insurance companies & pharmaceutical companies wealthy. They don’t care about the patient. Their just a number.

Awesome video bro. Gday from Australia. I do the same between my work and do pretty good as well. Keeping to smaller random things and gross about12k a year roughly. You might already know this, but Nespresso does super well for me. I buy coffee machines at op shops and marketplace and resell them, usually making $50-80 per item. We also have an annual "hard rubbish" week in the next town, not sure if you guys do that, but it's for the council to collect everyones junk and we pick up heaps of cool stuff there to sell.

I bet shipping is the costliest mistake that new resellers make repeatedly while trying to learn. Tip: future clothing items that don’t sell - mark them down & sell them quicker because shipping is cheaper for clothing, right? Can’t you ship some clothing in bubble mailers, etc? Congratulations on year one! 6:12
@GrimzyFinds
@GrimzyFinds 4 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yes clothing usually ships pretty cheap however a lot of the ones I had were extremely long tail and low value, just didn’t want to deal with it. Time is also money after all. I kept the ones that were a little better price wise. You are correct when I first started I made several mistakes, learned from them but it did cost me money.

@@waynetttttt I have just a couple thrifters I have met. Most just hang around for new racks to come out and get vintage tees and another gentleman I met that we run into each other maybe a couple times a week and thrift together. I get your point but it still feels like I am lacking with contributing to society with a part time or full time job working with a group of people everyday. They are random at first maybe but you can develop friendships.

@@sukmydktame1495 , I work with 20 men and most don't speak, Work related chat only, Sometimes my work day feels like it's going slow because it's so quiet and I'm stuck in a building, My previous job I worked on a gardening team with 6 other people and we would mow for 5-6 hours straight and then talk for 30 mins at the end of the day 😥 I get what you mean, just with how people are today on the social side I have noticed it slowly going.

Unrealistic. You have to sell 100 items or more a day. The shipping and logistics are a nightmare. You need a lot of space to store your items. With large bulk of sales you are more likely to get returns, lost items, dead piles. It takes time to list, categorize items.

I sell roughly about 10-20 a day and have been doing well for the last year and this year so far. Your statement is correct tho, it’s a good side hustle but definitely a risky full time job. Thanks for sharing
