Snake Rattle 'n' Roll needs to make a comeback. That was so much fun back in the day and I always felt like there could have been other game modes. A modern day version could be awesome. I never heard of it until my parents bought it for me (boxed and sealed) out of some bargain-bin at Walmart.

Such a great game. I played this game so much and actually got to the point where I could go through every level and get to the moon without dying. But I never could beat the giant foot on the moon. If your rapid fire tongue hits stopped for even a split second, the foot’s health would fully recover. And it was impossible because of the foot constantly moving, moon physics, and asteroids launching at you from four directions.

I got my NES for my 10th b'day in 1992. My Mum (sadly no longer with me) took me to Toys R Us, but unfortunately they didn't have any consoles left in stock on the shelf. They did however, offer us the display model unboxed, and threw in Solar Jetman along with Mario Bros. Man, I love that game! It took some getting used to the control of the pod. Battletoads is the obvious best game, Snake rattle n roll a close-ish second. Probably the two games I played most on nes, other than Mario 3. Lot of people complain that Battletoads is too difficult but much like alot of games from the time, it's all about memorization. The enemies, even the bosses, do the same pattern every single time. I beat it when I was 10 after lots and lots of practice.

ONE THING: Can you show us the final breakdown of the games in tiers at the end of the video? I know alot of people use a website and move the titles into the tier spots. I actually liked W&W3 because it was different from the first two. However, parts of it were super annoying, plus having no save states or passwords. The guild challenges were a nice twist, though got a bit ridiculous later on, especially with the already janky platforming. I did, however, manage to beat it once...and yeah, the ending was crap, since it leaves you hanging for a fourth game which never happened. Still, something about the ambiance just worked for me.

Actually working on a complete rare ware collection across Nintendo platforms and nice to know their NES outings, since outside Battletoads, most are not super familiar to me.

KB toys clearance was awesome lol, I remember my neighbor and me both had 20 bucks to spend at the mall, they had Brainlord on clearance I remember I had enough to get the game and some rapid fire controller for NES.

Definitely RC Pro Am and Wizards and Warriors. Super fun games with great music. Never played Nightmare on Elm, can't wait to check it out.

I'm happy to see Nightmare on Elm Street getting some love! Me and my three buddies used to do 4-player runs with the NES Four Score and I always had a blast. I actually managed to get my cartridge signed by John Saxon and Heather Langencamp. Then years later, I was in line to meet Robert Englund to get it signed by Freddy himself, and another guy in line just started giving me a real hard time saying the game was crap. I don't know, I think a bunch of people just didn't read the instructions. It's a great game and the music is awesome. Now, if I can only get Johnny Depp to sign my cart, too...

How about checking out Asmik small library of games for the NES, or Electrobrain? What I've learned is I liked a lot of Rare developed games as a kid! Great video as always!

@@JohnRiggs yes, I see that (and watched it today). Sorry for the oversight, but thanks for letting me know! I appreciate it and I'm not being snarky when I say that. I love these publisher videos. How about NTVIC or one offs like Triffix?

Captain Skyhawk is at least an A for me, probably an S. I have always just loved the look of that game.
