I've been to the Aero factory in Galashiels. The people there are very nice blokes, always answering questions enthusiastically and were never dismissive, even after they found out I wasn't going to buy anything. They just like making jackets and talking about leather.

I have a FQHH Highwayman. Aero quality is unsurpassed. They aren't cheap but they are worth every penny. They will last a lifetime. You could pass it to your grandchildren it will last 5 lifetimes. The style is timeless.

I've got 2 Aero jackets and I love the brand for all the reasons you've outlined. Your's suits you incredibly well and being the trucker style you will be able to wear it forever. I have two Highwayman jackets, one in black CXLFQHH that I purchased brand new in 2021 and another in brown Steerhide I picked up 2nd hand which is 30+ years old. Apart from a slightly dated lining on the older jacket it's in incredible condition and fits like a glove. I'm sure they'll both outlive me

Wow! I'm really surprised to see aero on more fashion forward youtube channels. Usually it is more to a very specific crowd. I've got one of their highwayman styles and I love it. You're right about construction and everything. Even at it's non discounted price, the quality you get is much better than other brands at the same price point. This is similar to field leathers also up in scotland. Lovely piece. Youre making me want one another type 3 now too 🤣🤣 also glad you mentioned sugar cane in one of your previous videos, I love americana and the style around it so this type of videos are just my favorite.

Can’t beat quality classics, they will always be in fashion! The highwayman jacket is beautiful - how long have you had it? Haha you can never have too many type 3 jackets, I’m even tempted to get another one in black but I must resist (for now!!). The Sugar Cane Type 2 is a stunning piece, I’m really fortunate to have found it for so cheap. Thanks for watching!

I've gotta say, Scotland & Ireland seem to be the home of authentic quality goods with still sensible prices. It's nice to know you can still find proper clothes out there. As someone who has been living in Ireland for 10 years (in the capital) I strongly disagree, options are very limited, not cheap, and it’s a struggle even to have to order stuff from abroad, being an island…as a matter of fact, I do the bulk of my shopping when I go back to Southern Europe, and this is common among expats…I’m sure is different in the UK though, or at least in England

Im from Pakistan I recently found a manufacturer, bought 2 leather jackets Everything was fully customisable. First one was in sheep leather cost me 12,500PKR and the other was in lamb leather which cost me 14,500PKR.

I have two aeros a highwayman in black chromexcel horsehide and a barnstormer in black badalassi steerhide. I really suggest you to try their chromexcel especially the natural color one. you made a killer deal!!

But I have three type III denim jackets, one doesn't have handwarmers and it's fair to say I don't know what to do with myself when I'm wearing it, despite the silhouette being a classier, cleaner affair. I've just ordered the Tanuki type II with handwarmers. Very excited... although you didn't need to know that. Thanks for sharing. I'll either go with these or Master Supply when I go leather again.

yeah this perfectly simple and the fit right on spot, u beat lot of leather jacket collector out there that in my opinion mostly not even fit or match their style. yes pls year or two this jacket update i really curious about this leather aging, and pls wear it when ever u have a chance. I have around 10 jacket 3 of em suede trucker in dark brown, gold, and dark green, thinking get black leather and varsity black also. After that im done LOL

Aero is kind of mid end leather jacket company. Above it, you can still find some Japanese leather jacket brands like The Real McCoy, Buzz Rickson if you want to go fashion. Of Eastman leather company and Good wear leather if ypu want to go authentic

You should also try bockleder they have a selection of leather pants and jackets. Their trucker is pretty incredible. unless you prefer custom. Then you made the right choice. Aero is incredible I hope to get some pants and jackets from them some day. It does look terrific on you mate.

Oh btw, James I own three pairs of horse hide jeans. So I know horse leather is extremely incredible. I'm actually thinking of getting a custom jacket made from shop Vancouver in my size once my credit card is paid. I do admire that jacket though. I’m 90% sure Aero specifically has permission from Levi’s to put the red tab on the pocket, as Aero has made jackets for Levi’s in the past. I wouldn’t cut it off. The coloured tab is trademarked by Levi’s, and they have literally sued other companies for using similar tabs on their clothing.

I worn it quite a few times (not daily), it’s still stiff, I’d say there’s still a fair way to go before it’s broken it. I love it though!

Ever since I saw Aero I have felt like that's the brand I will invest in eventually, and seeing this just makes me more sure of that. I find it hilarious that the YSL jacket is made of sheepskin as opposed to horsehide yet it costs over 3× as much.

I couldn’t believe my luck with the price! I think I heard they do a sale once per year but I’m not 100% sure. I believe Thurston Bros in USA sell these Aero jackets and you can customise them as well, might be worth a look!

I chose 38 initially but then when customising it we actually went for 20 inches pit to pit (so size 40).

The black one is from the 80s/90s and still going strong! The white one I’ve only had for a few months but I’ve not had any issues with it yet.

Sure man. I went for 20 inch pit to pit, 22.5 inch back length and 23.5 inch sleeve length. The best thing to do is find a jacket you love the fit of and give those measurements to them though 👍

Nice! Which one did you get? They just happened to have one when I visited their website - I got really lucky. I think it only lasted 5 days. I think they have one at least once a year though so keep an eye out!

The best thing to do is use a jacket that already fits you well as a base for the measurements of the new jacket. Are you in the USA? I think they do a service out there where they send you a sample jacket before starting production on your personal one.

what's the deal with that lamp in the background? the one that looks like a flower. every vid of yours i end up focussing on that lamp more than the actual content haha, it has so much character, looks real unique. leaves me wonderingv where you picked it up?

Haha it’s a vintage Italian lamp from the 70s/80s. We found it for really cheap on Facebook marketplace, it’s so nice and we get a lot of compliments for it!
