I read Don Quixote de La Mancha. Welcome to probably the most chaotic reading vlog you'll ever watch.
I love the concept of this video because it combines all aspects of my channel -- Spanish(well, Spain, in this case), Japan, and books. I just hope I executed it alright.
Thank you so much for watching this video!❤️
I hope you have a blessed day/night :)

I am 13 and reading Don Quixote rn. I am 800 pages in and I absolutely love it. I do creative projects with it, and I have had so much fun reading it. And I am utterly obsessed with it

Your friends are hilarious! Never read Don Quixote but there's a couple other classic novels I need to go back to and delayed for years after starrtng (Anna Karenina). But this seems like my experience of reading The Count of Monte Cristo (yeah I didn't do it in 19 days). I saw Don Quijote in a Japanese videogame and thought it was a fictional Japanese store lol. Enjoyed the video.

tbh I’m impressed that those books are even on your list! (I read The Count of Monte Cristo a long time ago, it’s one of my fav books of all time☺️) The video game thing hahahahahaaaa I love that😂😂

I actually have that same copy of Don Quixote and I definitely sympathize with your thoughts on the book. I want to love it because of my affection for Spanish culture and it’s status as the first novel ever written but when I was trying to get through it I definitely thought that the same point seemed to be getting made over and over again so I got tired of it and haven’t even made it to the second half yet. One day I’ll give it another go though.

Hi, Emi! this is such an interesting video! I have always wondered what a non-native speaker would think when reading this book! I'm not surprised you got bored at some point... I think it's too long! (I've never read the real version, always children versions! hahahah)

I agree about reading the first 100 or so pages, then go watch some summary's on KZfaq. Probably the best way to read the whole book is to pick it up every now and again and read a few chapters. Interestingly the book has also been adapted into opera's and ballet's that are worth watching.

I read that too, I'm sure it was two books. I don't even remember it being long. I do remember it being very funny mixed with social commentary that's still relevant today. It's meant to be an entertainment though, reading it fast would suck all the enjoyment out of it.

I read it two years ago (in russian) and i spent a whole month with it, is hard to rush it without loosing the enjoyment. There were def parts i loved prologue and the second volume was much better imo, but it had so many violence in it and pretty cruel practical jokes, so was hard to love it. Though I laughed so hard when in the second novel while going to sevillia (if im not confusing places) DQ says no-no fake me went there so im going in another direction, was hilarious 😂
