Here's a reaction video about myself, a Japanese-American, and my South African friend Sihle trying and tier ranking a heck ton of South African snacks! 🇿🇦
Sigz came over at 1pm, and we finished filming at 6pm (I had told him it will take an hour)...... So thank you Sigz for committing to the hectic shooting that you didn't sign up for 😇🙏🏼

The Champion Toffee you didn't like is actually deeply rooted in many older generations of South Africans. The iconic toffee brand produced by a company known as Candy Tops and which was for a long time actually known more popularly as Wilson's Champion Toffees (or just "Wilsons") has actually been around since the 1940's and synonymous with many a South African childhood memories. Later the company changed hands and subsequently from there on things went down hill. So much so that hundreds of people lost their jobs after legal battles at it's plant in the Eastern Cape in 2016. That said, its great that such an icon is still around... eventhough not liked by all but still loved by many.

NO NO NOOOO!!! Your ratings were so far off on some of these items, it pains me as a South African to hear the saaad critique! You have to be a South African to appreciate those black toffees, those were the bomb! Fizzers, again, you had to have grown up eating those to appreciate them, adults buying them is a bit too childish. Chomp! weh ma mehhhh!!! It was the best chocolate for kids on a very tight budget, that's a legacy chocolate and deserves BOKKE position, other people just won't get it! And who in their right mind doesn't put Creme Soda and Granadilla twist in Bokke? Crazy people, that's who! As for ouma rusks and all this "Its dryyy" nonsense..Tsek!!
