OMG Fourth wing hit me so hard that even thinking about sad theories makes me cry 🥺🥺🥺 I thought I am the only person that call her cats dragons after this book 😅

I got this book the day of release, then immediately started reading. I would read until like 1am then wake up and start reading again, I was (and totally still am after finishing) ADDICTED TO THESE BOOKS! They are too good!

I just finished Fourth Wing recently based on your recommendation and I loved it! It took forever to be available at my library and it looks like Iron Flame has a long hold time as well lol. You're the only other person I know who can get through books as quickly as I do and we have a lot of similar tastes. I wanted to recommend the Witch Walker series by Charissa Weaks to you. It's a fantasy romance that I think you'd enjoy. The fourth book is set to come out in January if you wanted to check it out around then. Anyway, loving the new book style videos! I remember those midnight releases of books back in the day. We’re the same age lol. But I still have all my original editions of the Harry Potter books even though I won’t read them again. You make this series sound so good and interesting, and I’m really not into books like the hunger games or the divergent series. Dystopian stuff just isn’t my jam. Should I give this one a chance? I do really love fantasy books and fantasy/romance. Great video as always! The party looked so fun! Totally jealous of it lol

Spoilers..One thing i felt this book lacked was Rhiannon, Ridoc and Sawyer i really wanted them more in the book. And i feel like the only time we feel Violet was close with them was more to the end like when Sawyer was being attacked. I know there were a lot of squad moments but i still feel there was something missing. I also agree with you on Xaden and Violet taking the entire book to trust each other

I’m watching this with my sister, and when she goes “there definitely some characters I changed my mind on.” I went *cough* Sloan *cough*, and when she said “there are some characters I’m confused about I went *cough* Dain *cough* Also to ease you mind about the chapter headers a bit, it would show her rank at the time reviving the correspondence. So since Violet was a cadet when she got the letters when she was a cadet, that’s what they would go by. I am VERY worried about Violet and Xaden though. I keep a you’ll be the death of me count, which counts how many times one of them says something along the lines of “you’ll be the death of me” to the other and it was super high by the end of iron flame. There was also this, VERY ominous line. I can’t remember it exactly, but Xaden said something along the lines of “when you die I die and we will meet malek (god of death) together.” AND O FROZE AND LITERALLY CRIED CAUSE THATS FORESHADOWING IF I EVER SAW SOME.

I enjoyed this video despite me not caring for the Fourth Wing series. Your enthusiasm for this series makes me really want to find a a book or books that will also get me that excited to read. I unfortunately am one of the few people who did not like divergent and the hunger games when the books and movies came out. For that reason, I don’t think I will enjoy Fourth Wing. But I am not giving up in my search for books that excite me. The series that excites me the most was the 4 original Percy Jackson books and the 4 books that followed that. The reason why I enjoyed that series was probably because of the relatability of the characters, the relationship between characters and the world building. And I loved how romance wasn’t one of the main genres, but more like an accessory. No book series has gotten me that excited since. I like romance but I prefer if the romance wasn’t so obvious from the get go. I would like to see the romance build up throughout a series. The Witchlands does a pretty good job of that. If anyone knows a book or books like what I described please recommend!

•The magic system doesn't so much get "expanded" in Fourth Wing as Yarros comes up with a bullshit reason to give Xaden a second power. This is unfortunate because the magic system is already kind of iffy. The way it's described, you would think there would be a diversity of powers just as vast if not more so than Devil Fruits in One Piece, but no. In fact, the rules seem set up so that the powers are only limited to a select few powers (except when they're not). If Rebecca really wanted to make Xaden a mind-reader then it probably would have been more sensible to make it an extension of his shadow powers than to make up a nonsensical rule about dragon inheritance that is likely only ever going to be used this once. •What politics? So much of the batshit insane worldbuilding still remains unexplained in this book. The closest we get to an explanation is a bunch of griffin riders pointing out that there's no reason for Basgaiath to kill off their own cadets and this is treated as those griffin riders being the crazy ones. At the end of the day, the worldbuilding is driven by Rebecca Yarros's non-existent understanding of military logistics and classified information which is really weird given she's a military wife.
