Today I will show you how to make a dollhouse room. I made my friend's living room in miniature and gave it to them as a Christmas gift. I took photos of their room when they weren't there and didn't really measure anything but I got most of it right :)

I really enjoyed seeing that you made all of the furniture and accessories yourself, which is what I'm doing to a dollhouse that was so generously given to me..most of the dollhouses I see people buy the furniture and just place them in the houses but I really admire those who make them!! I'm 70 yrs old and started making "room houses" when I was 10 and still love this craft.. I'm sure your friend was very appreciative for what you did for her.. your work was amazing and thank you for sharing this with us ❤️

Love this project! Did you do the whole project with balsawood, or did you incorporate basswood? I'm not done watching the video. 😊 Your partner can make alot of money just making roomboxes! Seriously. I would purchase one of his models if placed at a decent price, whether assembled, or not. Think about it. Loved the video and will definitely check on the other mini tutorials you made. I'm old school miniaturist and it's refreshing to see another artisan create the way I always preferred to do so. Awesome!!

Thank you so much for the lovely comment! I didn't use basswood, mostly balsa but I try to incorporate different materials:) that's an interesting idea with roomboxes, what do you think would be a decent price?

@@minihappyart Depending on the size, or design of the roombox, it would be up to you. I belong to NAME, and I can tell you that we have few male roombox designers than we should have, but the few make boo-coo money on personal design roomboxes as well as standard roomboxes, and the price goes quite high for a pre-assembled roombox, or custom-made requests. Check NAME, if you're not a member, you really should be. They have several artisans that you can check and see what they charge for their roomboxes, to get an idea. I can tell you that I personally, have been looking for a miniature craftsman that can make the roomboxes without charging an arm and leg, unless it's custom made, of course.

@@minihappyart This is just a suggestion, or idea that you can think about, but if you know someone in the states, for example, that can be your distributor (someone you can trust/dependable), then the shipping would not be that high. Thus is why I would start with NAME. They have Artisans from all over the world.

@@minihappyart oh is just the exposure to the animals or things that can break such a beautiful small creations, also the music gives me horror movie vibes, but that’s me, keep it up all is good!

@@palomamiyaya If anything ever gets broken I immediately repair it, don't worry :) I've never had a situation in which I wouldn't be able to repair something :)
