I'm sure you have a lot, and I mean A LOT in your bucket list of things to add to the game, but I really hope to see more extensions and additions to existing maps such as the steel yard more floors on that tall building you can reach up with a pigeon.

It shows youre passionate about the game, the love is there, 99% of mainstream games feels like a copy and paste, a re skin and a different variant of pay to win loot crates, but yours is wholesome, theres an organic community, and the back and forth between you and the players is amazing to see

I just bought the games and played it a good amount in my Steam deck and absolutely enjoyed it. As someone who works in the game industry I will simply say take your time and enjoy the progress

First of all this an an amazing game and you should be incredibly proud of yourself. If I can just say, a feature I think is needed to benefit everyone is to have game modes... more importantly 2 main ones, something like 1. Realism and 2. Fun. I personally think this is one of the most important things, if not THE most important thing, because there are two types of players in this word, on one side there are those who basically want to do "pure parkour" but in a videogame (so without the speed boosts, special effects, crazy power jumps ect.), And on the other side there are those that just wanna have fun doing ridiculous stunts that are not possible in real life... And cramming that into one system would be impossible, I think... I don't know anything about game development, I just hope something like this is achievable. I wish you all the support, this community will become an incredible place.

Came here after picking up the game and heard exactly what I wanted, glad to know there is a progression system of some kind in the works! I love your game mechanically but I definitely enjoy a bit more of a guided experience where the game is providing challenges and rewards for the player to take on.

First of all... Your game is ABSOLUTELY fantastic, it's the game I ever dreamed with... I wish every game dev were like ya! as for my suggestion, I think you could add an area for custom maps, and an extra option in the customization area for clothes, like an extra button, cus it kinda sucks having to sacrifice a clothe or the advanced tutorial for those...

Ive been watching the videos of a youtuber playing it, really like it a lot. One idea for a move i had, when youre running off a roof towards a pole, instead of just sliding down it being your only option, add in an option to grab it with your hands and swing out and spin around to continue the line at a different angle, so it keeps up your momentum and trick counter. Hope that makes sense.

The last parkour game i played that was purely focused on the free-running aspect was "Free Running" on the PSP. While i didn't end up trying parkour out (i'm a big weenie), that game (+ the movie Yamakasi) made me so interested in this world. I was so excited when this game was announced. I have a couple of suggestions. One is laches and swings. Being able to swing across bars or use them as monkey bars would open up many possible tricks! Also, obstacles where you go through them. For example, a small hole in a wall you can dive-roll or climb through. Finally, I would like to be able to slide without going to specific locations. Otherwise, this is the game I have been looking for all these years. There is finally a dedicated parkour game! Edit: Maybe add wall flips and the ability to run up a wall regardless is it has a ledge or not.

A cool idea is an endless mode. Like the one from a vr game called stride. If you can add anyway to have a endless mode that would be really cool and keep up with the good work 👍

I just recently bought the game and I've really been enjoying it so far, there's not really any other parkour game that has as intricate of movement mechanics as Rooftops & Alleys. I've really been enjoying the new map but my only wishes are that there could be some bigger maps with long flow routes and swinging off bars as a new move and object on maps. Aside from that it's practically perfect in my eyes and I really appreciate your efforts to provide something heavily substantial in a somewhat neglected genre. Keep up the great work and best wishes man.

The scope of this game could be very big tbh. Like a large scale open world where you can freerun around a city and interact with AI freerunners type scale. Congrats again on the launch!

ever since I saw that one short I knew it was gonna boom because it's an untapped market

this is the best free running game since mirrors edge. One thing i would like to be added is whenever I do a backwards hand spring - off of a building, i start ragdolling, i would like to be able to say for example roll if im doing the handstand off of a ledge.

I've played this for nearly two dozen hours so far. I can feel the heart, soul and fun injected into it's development. It is by far the best Parkour sim game I've played since "Free Running" on the PS2 in 2005. I don't know if you played it but it's still on Steam, I highly recommend. You could play as all the big names of the time, Sebastian Foucan, Bam, EZ, Blue Devil etc... It would drop you into several open levels and sprinkle some really testing challenges around the map. Come to think of it, there were two modes in that game that would be really fun in Rooftops & Alleys: There was a sort of "King of the Hill" mode. They would place a medal at the very highest point of each level and the player had to find a way to get up there before time runs out. Really test their knowledge of the level and routes. The other was a "Floor is Lava" mode where you had to get from A to B without touching the floor. I wonder....would you be able to add in horizontal bars to swing from too? I understand you likely have a HUGE bucket list of plans, I'd like to drop in my two cents. I'd love to see R&A be the best it can possibly be.

my friends doubt the solo dev idea really hard and think you'll drop it but I'm personally confident that the eventual 1.0 of this game and beyond will be awesome

I can't express how refreshing it is to have a freerunning game with true freedom. You're doing everything the right way and you have the support AAA companies wish they had from fans. I do hope you are not feeling bombarded by keeping the updated and adding new features. Don't forget to take care of yourself and to enjoy life, when it comes down to it, its just a video game. As someone who was really annoyed that storror game takes so long i have to say your game is exactly what i wanted from the storror game in terms of gameplay. Its perfect for me to sometimes in the evenings to just hop on for a few hours and just try to master some lines. I also must say i love the art style of the game. For the future i would kill for a replay mode liek skate or other games so that i can make sick cinematic clips.

I love this game! It's so professional, I can't believe it's your first game. I would love a challenge where there is only just a finish location and you can take any path to get there so it encourages you to find shortcuts and kinda freelance a path. Also I know you probably won't add this, but if there was like a map with enemies or something the parkour system in this game would work so well with just like a Glock in your hand so you could get some epic kills while flipping lol. ooo i was thinking about how a shooter or melee or fighting game with even just some implementation of this movement would be really cool. now i know this is a reach, but itd be cool to see u and doku, the solo developer that is making out of action, do something together. out of action is a fps thats very ghost in the shell inspired but also as some crazy movement baked in like first person rolling, large slides, dashing, and diving.

You will probably encounter burn out one way or another. And have fun while working on your game, that's very important. I could tell you do already, I just thought I'd put that out there. And I'm curious do you use Blueprints or C++? Although it's been proven you can make fully playable games with blueprints alone.

I recently launched a software product (not a game) in which i pulled several all nighters and had little sleep. After a little over a month, my body only just started to relax again after being extremely stressed and anxious. Launching a product and knowing there's people paying and waiting / anticipating your product really gets on your nerves when you are solo / part of a very small team, beacuse you dont have anyone to share that weight with.

Don't feel like it's just me but honestly I would LOVE a full devlog series... But this game is truly special, so much fun and and instant classic! 🤘

You should def add different presets of tricks if its not to hard to do I js feel like theres not many different tricks to do imo(its still a really great parkour game if you dont keep up the work man)

This game is actually sick! I definitely would recommend either a floor is lava gamemode, or a sandbox game mode, where you can choose different modifiers for the game (like gravity, ragdoll on/off etc)

I haven’t been able to play yet and I’m hoping to be able to afford it soon, but I think a really cool progression system would be something similar to a career mode, similar to how Skate and games like that handle it. Not some like crazy involved story or anything but just like a guide character that helps through the tutorial and gives you goals to unlock new customization options or Easter egg customizations. Career modes are definitely something that help new players get into/find their own groove in the game as they learn more tricks and combos they can do in it! Obviously I’m just one voice but it’s such a helpful feature for new players, and I can imagine it would take a lot of work since your on your own but with the quality that you’ve brought with the game already, I know you can do it!
