Trust me, I made a similar move to Ghana after realizing, that's where I get my peace and i have never regretted it. You may be getting paid all the dollars in the world but at the end of the day, there is no price for freedom. Just like he said, humble yourself when you go back and you'll survive. 6 years and counting.

You will never appreciate Ghana till you leave. There are a lot of opportunities back home, but the money to start and honest people to take care of. No matter what we not accepted here, the majority of the people want to come back but the there isn't there. At times i become depressed when i find myself as a person of colour among them, the fault and shame is too much, home sweet home.

Another great interview here from overseas this year (A1). Our brother prince is straight on point he speaks facts and so truthful in all his analysis. Dj NYAAMI ,what you are saying about truthfulness is key, especially government workers and people who even wants jobs,most Ghanaians are not truthful but will always blame others for their failures. DJ you need to bring him back again,his mindset is good for we travellers.🎉

Life is hard abroad when you do menial jobs. Instead of us Africans competing with the Asians and Arabs to become doctors, nurses, software engineers, and business owners, we fight at the bottom to become cleaners, security men, and factory workers. On top of that there is no Ghanaian unity we always sabotage ourselves and hate to see our fellow Ghanaian succeed whilst complaining about obroni

You have raised very credible points here. However, I just want to add that regardless of how higher we get on the social and professional ladder abroad, there will still be that missing link for us as Africans abroad. That habitat will never be the ideal place for us. There's a unique feeling of intrinsic satisfaction whenever one touches down in Ghana from Abroad.

It would be easy if u have african parents supporting their kids with tuition. Most africans kids ve to work jobs while going to school, some ve to do 2 jobs, u don't see Asians or Indian kids doing that because they ve the support from their parents so they ve more time to study and focus on school. It's all about being able to afford education. Unless u get a 100k$ loan plus interest.
@joshuadampson759
@joshuadampson759 11 күн бұрын
@@flavorsofthecontinent7195 exactly that's what I'm saying support from all sides is necessary. All human beings are naturally not honest; we just need a robostic system to regulate beings. For example, if someone comes to buy eggs from you and asked you to inflate the price, you won't fo it because you will end up paying huge tax at the expense of the person. The system has to be a step ahead of the citizenry.

Ghana is a bad country period. 70 percent of the people's are not honest. Same thing applies to ghanaians community in Canada.

@jabulanisena6288 it clear that you have never traveled before,you will never appreciate the importance of learning English until you travel,allow the man to speak his English in the way he can!

@@antwidaniel-sm1vn I need not to travel this day and age to know what is going on in the world and do I have to go round telling people where I have travelled to? My point is all that he said are his own experiences and those experiences may not be applicable to everyone, life has no formula.

You see this mindset he is talking about, the white man did not just get up to have a good attitude or correct mindset....they once upon a time behaved like us but at a point in time they enforced the laws.... Is about law enforcement, example in the West once you do that the laws will ruthlessly deal with you so let's stop behaving as if is all a problem. is a problem but not as we trumpet it. if i give you some examples of what the white man has done to himself, you will end up clapping for the black man..Who brought the idea of slavery, and who abolished it???

DJ the guy is not been realistic, he's not answering your question! He's beating around the bush. His attitude as he's saying is not encouraging... He has accomplished whatever he want, his answers are not educational... Face reality and cease With all the beating about the bush, he was able to stay for ten years... You see he sounds like a greedy selfish guy 😞

Is it just me? There is no disrespect to anyone, but I came in with a clear objective mind but walked out with a mesh in my mind. It feels like saying a whole lot but not really saying anything specific. Clarity of expressions is key. DJ tried his best as usual to stear the convo, but the dude managed to contradict every point that he laid out. I appreciate the effort, but you left me confused. My 2cents. No disrespect.
