The only reason to miss land drops is to force a discard for a bomb that you can cheat into the battlefield with reanimation on the next turn (my favourite being Vilis+reanimate). Miss land drop to avoid a land tax trigger is just dumb imo, especially with a 6 mana commander

@@amarauk9687 The best part was that the opponent discarded a land due to hand size, then proceeded to get stuck on 3 lands for a few turns while Legend didn't miss a land drop after, excluding the sword scry-on-top :D

Holy hell, that first game is the epitome of the "math is for blockers", props to the opponent. It felt like he should have left 2-3 wall tokens to double but I'm not good enough at math to figure if that is true. Probably not still, double strike was too oppresive at that point, still very nice play from him

When I built my Kellan deck I designed it to go wide with token generation instead of traditional Voltron. It is still inherently a Voltron deck but Kellan acts as a big threat that they have to deal with on top of a bunch of large tokens.

@@thefruitfan5616 yeah, but instead of the big number equipments and auras that simply makes the creature big I went for all the ones that generate tokens. So while I don’t end up with huge power on Kellan himself, I end up beating them down with enough tokens that the damage output is similar.

@@demiurge2501 You mean the Horn of Valhalla? XWW for X 1/1s is interesting especially with the equip side being so valuable. Going to try it, might not tutor for it because tutoring up hexproof, indestructible, or powerful token Gen takes priority depending on the matchup

I think you had lethal in the game against Ratadrabik if you searched for Rabbit instead of ossification, equipping it with the Hammer for 0, but maybe I overlooked something! Very good games as always ❤

I like the fun titles but do also miss being able to know the format from the title. :/ If the fun titles are getting more clicks, I wouldn't blame you for keeping them

I understand change can be annoying, but there are still plenty of ways to see which format it is. - It's written in the video description - I mention it within 10 seconds of the video starting - On my channel page every format has a separate playlist - I keep the old naming convention on both Patreon and Aetherhub for easy browsing. The upside is that this will encourage more people to check out videos on formats they would not usually play.

I think that's fair and a smart way to get engagement. I often go back through old videos to find historic brawl and explorer brew ideas- this new styling would make that hard. Still love the content- my play has improved thanks to you!

@@LegenVD I think a smart way of keeping it apparent is some kind of system where you put a symbol or color-code the top right corner of the thumbnail. That way, viewers can see the game format at face value without any extra clicks, and you don't have to make any huge changes that might affect the algorithm too much. Regardless, love the content and keep up the good work! :)

@@LegenVD While all that is fair, you’ll probably lose certain viewers. I personally hate brawl. I clicked on this video because for a moment I thought it was Historic Hammer Time. I’m 100% not watching this though and I can see someone being frustrated because of clicking on something they’re very clearly not interested in. This is just my opinion though, and I don’t know how to run a KZfaq channel.

Oh! Another Brawl deck! Very nice, happy to see it. I do have to say that the title-thumbnail combo did not very much entice me, because I thought its just another iteration of the well worn Hammer Combo deck. The new kind of titles are not a big problem for me however, since I click on every one of your videos anyway. If it helps to get more well deserved attention, all power to you.

I like your puns and jokes, but I think making the only thing in the title of a video one of them isn't quite the right call. Clickbaity titles may get more views, but if the title included at least the format (and commander name if Brawl, like here), it'd be a lot easier to recommend to friends or people on Reddit or whatever. KZfaq statistics will likely say I'm in the minority here, but I just wanted to express my opinion. That having been said, I love your videos. I love your calm demeanor and that you never get upset at a bad hand/screw/flood. I enjoy the decks you play, and I look forward to more videos.

they were playing to their outs, also. hammer has the perpetual discount. it's pretty trivial to reequip it and shadowspear next turn (or even replay kellan for that matter). taking out kellan there doesn't even buy them an extra turn. opp's best hope is topdeck moonshaker cav. to try to steal a win, and they need as many creatures as possible to do that.

Maul Of The Skyclaves is one of my favorites. Give a creature 2/2 and flying and once its played it equips for free. I can't tell you how many brawl matches I won just with Maul and Kellan.

should the first opponent have put the green/white elves in front of the double strike captain, and put only lifelinkers in front of the wolves so they guarantee a hit? obviously kellen had to be blocked by the white tokens. But he could have gained a couple more life correct?

The KZfaq arms race is such a weird thing to experience, I saw people expressing concern over the video titling format and for me it was just like, "Well the hammer did go bonk so it weren't clickbait", but then I saw the little subscribe to the channel edit over the did you have fun and it did irk me. We're all just drawing lines in different places and as long as Google demands creators push up against the fence to get a shot at being rewarded for their work,, consumers will have to push back and take conscious note of where we'll allow barriers to lie, or risk becoming part of the driving force behind changes nobody likes. I don't even want to be reminded I am a consumer, I just want to vibe. Anyway, that's a whole "whole platform" thing, LVD you've still got lots going on in the main course in terms of genuinely good gameplay and commentary, that playing around with the presentation is only fair. Though, yeah Calls To Action make me feel like a toddler lol I can't stand'em and it's all the worse because I know the data says they work. tl;dr: Hammer bonk, good video

It's 100% fair to say that interaction segments are annoying, I'm with you. However, one nice thing about LVDs reminder is how non-intrusive it is. He puts that graphic up while he says "onto theeee next one." At least he's not like volggers who remind you to like, subscribe, and comment every 10 seconds.

removal has no business in a commander deck. I'm so sick of this crap. The entire purpose of commander is a fun easy going magic experience. Having an opponent that plays removal after removal, basically you can't commander today hahahahahah.
