I carried a lighter just like that home after basic training, a gift for my dad, in my pocket. I passed through security 3 times without a word from anyone. How times change.

I enjoyed watching this video, it reminded me of when I used to smoke and carried a small derringer similar to this one. Lost the lighter but quit smoking about the same time, so a loss and a win at the same time. Thanks for sharing. 👍🙏🇨🇱🇺🇸😁😁

My dad had ine of these, along with the .32 caliber M1903 looking variant. The Derringer was my favorite though, I took it to show and tell in elementary school. This was the early 80's and nobody freaked out. I got in trouble because it was a functioning lighter and I could hurt myself. That's all. Nobody expelled me or flipped out.

Well, this Artist is great expert! From rusty to successful Gun Lighter!! He used every items from small to medium stuff from Gas Lighter. It’s a lot of work for this guy! It’s successful….with lighter! I think Artist had great experience with toolmaker!!!! Cool, huh?

Another Great restoration but i do wish you'd have chrome plated the gun properly instead of spraying it

The chrome plating failed because of the pot metal. But I’ll get it next time, I promise.

Nickel plating, but the voltage looks to be too high, and caused pitting.

There are reasons why I never use chrome or gold spray paint on things.

Why go through the process of re-plating when youre going to paint? Also clickbait much? Its not an antique if its a jet lighter.
