The pounding rain blurred the Oregon coast as I ran through Ecola State Park, GoPro strapped to my head, heading for the secluded beauty of Indian Beach. What started as a scenic adventure took a heart-stopping turn when a sneaker wave, rising expectedly from the ocean's fury, trapped me on a rock. Faced with the raw power of nature, I had a split-second decision: jump into the churning water or stay put and wait for the waves to recede. This GoPro journey isn't just a run; it's a story of facing fear, the humbling power of the ocean, and the unexpected beauty that can emerge even in the face of danger.

Thanks so much. It was scary indeed. I think if in larger waves had rolled in I would have panicked and jumped into the water and ran back to safety. As it was, I was glad to watch the waves roll around and escape when I could.

Agreed. Anytime I go surfing, I'm always amazed by how powerful the ocean is! It was a bit scary, so I'm glad it turned out okay :D

Mr. Zoomdak! I saw your finger in the winter glove! 0:00 did you touch the lens??0:00 OMGoodness, It is all gray ...although it is typical winter weather in Oregon? I see forceful waves whipping the rocks over and over again. I wonder if the coastline in Oregon has ever frozen in the past??? I hope you did not hurt seriously. Yes, Mother Earth is sometimes cruel A man's challenge against her fail... or somebody wanted you hurt? You stay warm and stay safe Brilliant! Look forward to next one.

The gray blanket of clouds with rain is quite typical for the Oregon Coast. In fact it often rains for 8 months of the year! The coast just had a big freeze a couple weeks ago, really wild weather! Thanks for your continued support!
