I love the animation so much!!! I can't believe they roasted like that while practising XD, but falling is just a part of the learning process 🤷

Thank you! I might play around with drawings and animation more over the summer! Falling is one of the things I’m honestly proud I can do well, I’ve taken some nasty falls without injury, but his bluntness kinda surprised me😂

With regards to this video (super hilarious, great work 👏🏼), I've had a coworker leave a comment on one of the videos on my channel saying "Save some of the cleaning for the Zamboni" so I totally feel ya 🤣

Thank you! I think even worse than falling though is driving back home in damp clothes (especially in the winter when it’s super cold)😂😭

@@Hazook haha I can imagine! The secret is to avoid falling just for the first 5-10 minutes while the ice is still wet after the Zamboni, and then fall as much as you want (which I do a lot of as well). That approach has generally worked for me 😉⛸️⛸️

Just watched your "how much does it cost to skate in inlines" video (but comments were turned off lol). Gotta say, I have always appreciated your step by step, logical method of presenting information! Keep em coming! Another thing.... Coaching fees is what costs the most amount of money... Oh dear... I've spent so much money on coaching that the ice fees seem kind of insignificant in comparison 😅 ice fees end up being only around 35-40% of the total cost of skating.

Oh shoot, I’m so sorry! I’ve been having issues with Yt switching off comments recently, but I think I’ve fixed it!😥 I figured that coaching fees would be crazy high. When I was researching coaching fees a couple years ago, the cost of even one season was astounding and super varied so I figured for that video at least, it would be easier to leave them out😂😅

@@Hazook for reference, depending on the coach, it's between $10 and $15 per 15 minutes. I have two coaches (I see one of them for 30 minutes per week and the other for 30-60 minutes per week depending on the week), and the first one charges $10, while the other one $15. But I presume that your purpose was to cover the bare minimum cost of skating for someone who can't necessarily afford coaching. And believe me, that was me for almost 3 years until I graduated uni and got a full time job.

@@Hazook hate to break the news 😢 at least it's CAD and not USD! But sometimes even 30 minutes per week of instruction (so $80-$120 per month) is well worth it. Or if you want to to cheaper, group lessons. Maybe ditch the takeout and survive off ramen noodles 🤣 in the end each person knows their finances best and chooses their battles. Another option is also to get only a couple of months of instruction at a time. When I was in university there were a couple of times when I got a tiny bit of coaching for 2-3 months at a time.

@@natsskates @Hazook This is a great convo! For the past # of years I attended group lessons run by our city (in Canada). They got me through my basics, from being a complete beginner on ice, and this year I lucked out on an amazing coach (in the group lesson) who said something like ..."you call it a crossover!?"... So we did a lot of fixing and tweaking and I nailed my Waltz and Salcow! As you mention in your videos, Hazook, it is important to get a coach and not just learn off youtube :) But there is also a lot of value in the city-run programs, and you can get to know the staff and they can be super helpful!

I used SketchBook by AutoDesk, it's free and lets you make flip books. I put the exported pngs into my editing software to add the text and music and retime things though.
