Changing the title and thumbnail is not a "trick" per say. As someone who watches KZfaq WAY too much; people are stupid, lol. There is a red bar that appears below the thumbnail of a video showing you how much you've seen already. If you've watched a video fully, it will be a full red bar. Before that was there, I used to rewatch videos I had already seen, all the way through, and then realize at the end I remember it. Changing the title and thumbnail of a video is almost like gaslighting people into believing they haven't seen it, because they don't remember it until it's over. You get more views because people who have already seen it will watch it again. Which is why it works so well on older videos.
