Figuring out when Mike turned 18 might not be as necessary as you think. In Utah where most if not all of the story takes place child labor laws only apply to kids under 16. Fazbear Entertainment is definitely sketchy enough to hire a teenager for a dangerous job.

It's also entirely possible that Fazbear Entertainment simply didn't know Mike was a corpse.

I agree with basically everything here, but one thing to note about SL is that there was initially a Circus Baby’s party world and the animatronics weren’t being rented out to different places till after Elizabeth went missing and Circus Baby’s closed. We can assume Circus Baby’s was closed after only one day since Circus Baby says she was only in stage for a single day.

I do think Mike was smelly because he was messing with the animatronics. For a long time I thought Mike had “possessed his own corpse” but then I found out that in the books remnant has some pretty extreme healing powers. The FNAF 6 blueprints say there is always remnant on the scoop. I think once Enard left Mike gradually recovered. Maybe he was never fully normal again but he stopped rotting and healed at least to some extent. That’s how he kept getting jobs he looked and probably smelled mostly normal. This doesn’t really affect where Sister Location fits in the timeline. It just means Mike can be actively doing stuff and passing as normal after Sister Location.

If you start taking the possibility of the sister location animatronics not being possessed into consideration, everything fits perfectly, and with the recurrent "Rogue AI" theme of stuff, it wouldn't surprise me if they are the origin of the mimic software

Something that stumped me and probably MatPat was the issue of Balloon Boy. We thought Circus Baby’s Pizza HAD to predate at least the FNAF 2 location, but if we are hinting at a 70’s entity that was circus themed and predates Fredbear’s Family Diner, none of that matters anymore

Great video! I actually went ahead and played through all the games and took notes of lore details as I did and basically almost everything you said perfectly adds up. But there is one tiny thing I’d like to add. Michael actually didn’t look like a rotting corpse when he got the job for the 87 and the 90s pizzerias. Remnant can actually regenerate the person it’s attached too. Which is why Michael is able to walk around despite us organs and probably his skeleton being ripped out. His insides regenerated and as time goes on his skin begins to regenerate as well. This also explains why Williams corpse looks different each game. The only reason the regeneration doesn’t fully work in his case is because of the springlock suit stopping the regeneration process. This is why his corpse look more human like in fnaf 6 since he no longer has the springlocks in him and can start regenerating.

I'd like to add that the Sister Location bunker is NOT the same as Circus Baby's Pizza World- which I believe is what HandUnit is referring to when it says "the stage was set for another contender in children's entertainment". I personally believe that Circus Baby's Pizza World opened after the OG Freddy Fazbear's pizza closed (the one before the grand reopening in FNAF 2) due to foul odor from the animatronics. It make sense that after Elizabeth got scooped and Circus Baby's never opened, that Afton would repurpose the animatronics and rent them out; creating Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental

TL:DR - The Funtimes do not need to be built specifically for Remnant experiments. There's something that I don't think I've seen anyone put out there for why the Funtimes were built to kidnap and/or kill children: William Afton is a serial killer, not JUST a scientist looking into Remnant and immortality. The only reason he knows about Remnant is because he is a serial killer. The Funtimes don't HAVE to be built SPECIFICALLY for capturing children to experiment with Remnant. He could have created the Funtimes as another way to continue his killing spree and, after finding out that Remnant exists, repurposed the kids being contained in order to get more Remnant. Nobody has talked about this and it would also fit Elizabeth Afton being killed before the Crying Child, which would in turn justify the line, "Remember what you saw?" There is a counterpoint that serial killers have a preferred method of dealing with their victims (a calling card or significant thing) which people would say William's is his knife, but the Funtimes CAPTURE, not kill kids, so he would still be able to kill them with his knife later when he releases them from the Funtimes. Just figured I should put that out there since I don't recall anyone mentioning this.

Sister location has a few major events that don't need to be close to each other. Elizabeth getting eaten is first and could be years before anything else. Michael working the week, and then his freedom from Ennerd could have taken days if not weeks.

The *Special* Delivery fact you bring up as evidence is most likely just in reference to springlocks, but these can't really be relied on as they were written by Illumix as placeholders, hence why they were never implemented into the game.

I think the books were trying to tell us that If Henry's grief over losing Charlie could cause him to infuse the Ella doll with Agony That ANY animatronic William touches is going to be infected with agony. So the funtim3s may very well just be running off of that.

funnily enough, i attempted to solve this a while back too and ended up placing it in a similar time frame. i will copy and paste what i wrote in my notes (bear in mind that i wrote this in a bit of a manic episode, because the placement of sister location was literally torturing me lol) first of all, it could not have happened before 1983, because before that, william afton has no known reason or motive to kill kids. therefore there would be no reason for him to design baby with a massive death claw inside her. we see that charlie emily's death is the first murder done by william afton, and that she goes on to possess the marionette. this was done in 1983- it is unknown whether it is before or after the bite of '83, however in terms of motive it is likely to happen after, possibly even in the same day, because it gives william afton a reason to be drunk and angry at henry for inadvertently causing the death of his son as the springlock mechanics were designed and made by him. we also know that the marionette's face changes (she gets tears on her cheeks) after charlie's death, which could potentially lead to william afton figuring out that somehow charlie's spirit possessed the marionette. this could possibly be the cause, combined with the possession of the five other animatronics (freddy, bonnie, chica, foxy & golden freddy) of william afton creating animatronics that are designed to kill children so that he could experiment with their remnant and figure out the secrets behind how and why the spirits possess the animatronics, as well as how he can use them for his own innovation and personal gain - hence the creation of circus baby's pizza world, where the animatronics were designed to count children, and when there was only one, they would go in for the kill so that afton could experiment with their remnant. the creation of baby as a killing machine explains then the placement of elizabeth's death, which would take place between the events of 1983 and sister location, which has to take place before 1987 because this is when fnaf 2 takes place (the first of the first three chronologically) if we are to assume that michael afton is the security guard in that game as well as fnaf 1 and 3. there is a small issue with this theory- timing. how did william became such a master of robotics that he was able to create his own company (afton robotics) and animatronics in such a small space of time (3-4 years, at most)? i suspect that william may have already been learning from henry about robotics and had some basic knowledge on how they work and how to make them, but left it up to henry as that was just kind of their roles in the partnership (william came up with ideas, henry created them), but then the events of 1983 led him to invest a lot of time in actually making them and creating his own designs that serve the functions that he want them to do (namely, killing, but also cool shit like dispensing ice cream as we see him boast about in the audio from sister location) instead of just knowing the basics or the theory behind it. afton robotics could have also served as a sort of workshop for william to experiment with robotics instead of being limited to the animatronics in the fazbear franchise. there is also the issue of the follow me minigame showing william afton dismantling the animatronics, because we know from candy cadet as well as the books that he used these parts of the animatronics to melt down their remnant, which was put into the funtime animatronics. this implies that sister location has to come after fnaf 2. however it could be argued that this minigame is simply a flashback to before the events of fnaf 2- it is very possible that multiple fazbear entertainment restaurants existed at the same time (fredbears and freddy fazbear's pizza) which explains how in 1983 a seemingly different freddy's pizza restaurant existed, since we see fredbears family diner as being the location in which the bite of '83 happened.

With help wanted 2 and into the pit, everything is pointing to sister location being a very early part of the timeline which bothers me because of that line hand unit says. I think the design for circus baby and a lot of the sister location character were taken or inspired by fall fest. That’s why we keep seeing them being brought up so early into the timeline, their characters technically existed in mascot suits and people in costume years before. Don’t ask me how Carine, an intelligent, “human” like animatronic could exist back then cause i have no idea.

I watched a video that placed SL post fnaf 1, assuming Michael's odor was just because he's a "stinky man", not a rotten corpse yet, and i was like "man, i don't like to think Mikey is there to _help_ his father all along. I like to think he realized earlier and spent _multiple_ decades in search for him, not just 30 years". This video here reinforces my belief of how the timeline works. Nice.

I wouldve agreed with this video, keg would, worldve, you see, on one of the jewer books which is speciufcally described to happen within the ganes canon (storyline) we get tokd that the sister location bunker was open for a minimum of 2 years, and you basically confirmed that it opened between 1985-1987, so therefore sister location itself must happen in 1995-1997

There's a difference between when Circus Baby's Pizza World opened and shut, and when sister location happens at CB Entertainment & Rentals. While I agree pizza world most likely opens between 85 and 87, the actual events of sister location could happen much later, as it is unknown how long E&R was open for. William could've been cut from the company shortly after he started E&R, causing him to loose access to the Funtime animatronics, which would explain why he went back to manually killing in FNAF 2, and why he asked Michael to go down there as he himself was on a company blacklist. Additionally, at the end of Mike's speech in SL, he says to William he's "going to come find you" implying that William has been missing for some time. This could very likely be because he has already been springlocked by the time of SL, meaning it would be after FNAF 1. The odour stated in the pink slips in FNAF 1 and 2 is most likely referring to how when mike tampered with the animatronics, the smell of dead children likely rubbed off on him, causing him to smell.

That does make sense if it was set close to fnaf 2 as the design of the fun times look similar to the toy animatronics. Especially seems to be a weird coincidence how mangle looks very similar to funtime foxy raver then unwithered foxy. Heck maybe funtime foxy way taken and recycled for mangle and that could explain why mangle was easy to take apart and put back together since the funtimes could open their bodies. And would explain mangle for the bite of 87 as there was 1 person in that room and the rest of the animatronics wouldn't kill you but they would stuff you in a suit. Of course tehre are some problems like how the endoskelton is much different, tho the endoskeleton is different for the withereds and the og animatronics.

The theory that I have always kept to is that FNAF SL happens RIGHT before FNAF 2, and after Mike gets scooped, he proceeds to start to investigate his father's work and FE - goes to work at 2's location. The fact that Ennard is inside him at this point doesn't contradict anything, since as "A room for one more" story implies, Mike quite possibly was able to control himself while Ennard was inside of his body. Then after each night in 2 a minigame from SL's custom night happens - where in the morning Mike goes back home n neighbours greet him. Then, after the sixth night, Ennard leaves Mike's body, and a rotting corpse comes back under a different name for the last night there.

Its so hard for me to think they are after fnaf 1 just based on the sophistication of the anamatronic designs. They have far more advanced technology than in fanf 1

What if the fnaf 3 minigame takes place before fnaf 2, and what were believed to be the original animatronics were actually the withered. Think about it: We were never told why the withered animatronics were broken, but they tried to repair them. We know that they are from ,,the previous" location, which can very easy be the fnaf 1 location, where they were eventualy reused after 1987 and the same location from the fnaf 3 minigames. Also in the minigame freddy has a button under his bowtie, which is not seen in the fnaf 1 model, but in the withered model. Basically, afton destroyed the animatronics before fnaf 2 and got springtrapped, they were rebuilt by the company but eventually abandoned bekause of how they looked.

I think molten MCI is such a popular theory because people think that the FNaF 6 fire was the only time spirits could have been freed. I’m pretty sure that the og spirits were freed separately. I think there are two separate portions of where Sister Location takes place. There’s when did Afton build the location and all that, which I think is early on (and perhaps he harvested some agony from the FNaF 1 animatronics to put in the SL animatronics, which wouldn’t mess with the souls issues), and when does Michael enter SL. I also am not fully convinced that Michael is who we play as in FNaF 2.

I don't about you but the fourth closet played a big role in molten mci. Also, maybe The Happiest Day happens right after fnaf 6 bc all the souls are there: mci kids, Charlotte and cc. The golden Freddy that goes away in the happiest dat is actually cc which doesn't break moleten mci and kinda proves ucn being Willam's own personal hell. William knowing about remnant haunted objects doesn’t HAVE to be after the events of 1985. He could’ve learned about the effects from either Charlie’s possession or even his own son’s possession, then built the funtimes, then went out killing by hand.

All of the evidence for SL being early only really works for Circus Baby's Pizza World. That's what opened after Freddy's closed and that's when the Funtimes were designed. I'm fine with that, but that doesn't mean that Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rentals was open then, or the gameplay for that matter.

I dont see SL being after 1983 for multiple reason and I dont agree on Afton even being correlate with Fazbear Enterateniment as in the first place for me SL was before FNAF 2 or still in that time around the same years and in that case, as in 1983 there wasnt foxy ecc already Afton was probably the one that actually created the first design. There is a big possibility that Fazbear enterateniment did some thing to get the design rather than Afton being still with Fazbear Enterateniment as itself Sister location ecc arent part of Fazbear enterateniment and you can argue it by using TFC as Sister location is part of Afton Robotics in it

Does Mike have to be 18 years old to work at Sister Location? In America you only have to be 16 years old to work for a company NOT owned by your family/parents. If your Parents are the owner of the company, there are sometimes exceptions to work even younger (which doesn't so much relate to SL perhaps, but generally Mike could have been a nightguard, working a summer job, while still attending highschool for any of the games). Part of the reason I wonder if Mike is younger is he seems to be in his family home after work from SL; the furnishing is all from the 1960s/1970s, which is older then Mike. In Midnight Motorist we see a figure watching tv at a home that isn't "theirs" (it's the orange guy's house), but by SL we see Mike, alone, uninterrupted eating popcorn for dinner watching a soap after work. I seriously wonder if Afton got Springlocked and Mike was still living at home and just father just... Stops coming home one day. And instead of going to look for him, Mike takes the job in the bunker his father had previously told him to go do. Only after SL, in that last cut scene with nothing else to do it's the Mike decides it's time to figure out why his father never came home.

So heres my thing, Sister location is a mess in the timeline, but Circus Baby Pizza world was 100% 1983-1985 as Acton was still with Fazbear, and he had Freddy, Foxy and Bonnie there plus a Springlock suit, Bunker was pre-Fredbear Family Dinner so storage was good, so it being 1985/86 makes sense, but with some other hints I feel like there a reason why Micheal could be in sister location in the year 2000, Yes, reason all comes down to the more reason games and more importantly I think the Idea of FNAF 3 being in 2023 is no longer true believing in could happen in 2015 30 years after the first Freddy's close.(Forgot to say how, Mike in the Security Logbook has some major hints that get over look and Reel Value is the one that tells you what year Mike wrote the Red Text and because the book was burnt it was around the FNAF 3 fire but was saved, someone else on reddit and in a video did the numbers and got 2015 if FNAF 1 happens 1992 base on better price valuing now knowing the State FNAF take place in and likely the place closed still in 1993 due to Christmas season being worth keeping the place open until January) But also the movie might hint the spring locking year is 2000 as it take place that year and similar timeframe in the graphic novels, also the Idea that Vanessa from the game was William daughter mean he was alive by 1997 as that Vanessa birth year as hinted in AR, and a good reason for Mike to be sent to the location is to kill him, and so there be a clean easy win for his Divorce thats in Vanessa backstory, sue it could been Elizabeth story being told to her but the fact that the one therapist knew Vanessa Mom means that story is true. So Sister Location events are flexible as they been trap for years without a good date on how long, we just know it can be from 1985-2014 which is a large Gap, new info to clarified the events be better. Also for Jeremy bing Cassie Dad but also Bonnie Bully it fits better for FNAF 3 to be 2015 so SB be in 2023-2027ish and him being early 50s sounds better. Also AR happen in 2020 thanks to the emails so Help Wanted 1 was 2019 and FNAF Pizza Sim was 2017.

Was the sister Location Not built By William after He Got kicked out By Henry and the Fazbear Entertainment? It was His own way to Go further in His Experiments. William got kicked and founded Afton Robitics LLC and built His sister Location after His Beef in the early 80's. He lost at First His so'n then His daughter and the sister Location closed due a leaking Pipe (when i remember it right) After that the sister Location was abandoned By William but they still got sister Location repair and rent the place where Michael should Go. I think the Game Takes place way after the Games. First the OG then the second part when He destroys the animatronics. He left Michael a Message to Go inside His old store, William got springlocked til father and son are together 30 years later at Fnaf 3 as Immortal beings. Only struggle is that William used remnant at the funtimes and this ist only possible when He destroyed the OG animatronics....the Game Takes place after 1 and 2. Michael searched years for His father to Tell him "He Put her back together, they thought i was you, i am going down to find you" Some aspects are very controversal but i would say 4, 1,2, SL, 3, 6 and SB. Okay but here's the thing say the first thing that happened in the timeline was the missing children incident that was the beginning of it all right now if we use that as a base we can see that that was the beginning of it all now if we continue the story that means the first missing incident that happened in part 1 but it happened in the five nights at Freddy's 1 that would mean sister location had already happened that would mean the events of sister location working at five nights at Freddy's 1 and then he went on to work at five nights at Freddy's 2 but here's the thing I believe personally when he got scooped in sister location key experience the dream inducing nightmare animatronics and as he experienced that in after concluded he woke up and that's how he became a walking corpse I believe with the nightmare animatronic I think that's my only personal theory on it basically what I'm saying is that the first thing that had happened to all protagonist was the fact that he got scooped but the events that happened in the past happened in the past pretty obvious when you think about it if I'm thinking that's correctlythe Funtime animatronics were created somewhere after the events in the second location I believe meaning after the toy animatronics well that's the way I think of it anyway maybe there is something there I'm not sure

An then Afton needed more remnant after the first experiment failed and lead to scrapping the withered OG animatronics leading to his death.
