I feel like Toxtricity is like Lucario, in that it special even though it’s not a legendary

I personally feel that Eternatus is a ultra beast.

There's more to support your theory - look at the artwork of the Galar region map and the town map. Right above Hammerlocke there's a HUGE STONE WALL that nobody talks about and you don't even get to reach the area ingame. You can barely see it when walking in Hammerlocke. Furthermore - at the right edge of that wall there's actually a small mountain with another crater on top which is also unreachable. So assuming this wal and many craters where created by meteors - Hammerlocke area was definitely where Eternatus' meteor landed, which also explains why the whole area is a power spot and why rose found the metoer beneath the nowadays Hammerlocke (that's exactly the point of impact of the meteor, judging by the stone wall shape). More to support your theory that the darkest day took place in or next to Hammerlocke is Route 8 - the ruins of the city are evidence of a fight or a battle or a huge pokemon ruining the place (which also contains Falinks which are kind of battle warriors). Considering all that, it's almost symbolic and makes so much sense now that the second darkest day of our hero takes place in Hammerlocke. Galar definitely has much more secrets to unfold.

Should also add that Steel is immune to poison, so they'd be effective vs G-max Toxitricity.

I think the fact that toxtricity has two different forms could be linked to the two heroes? In the sense that they could have been pokemon that belonged to them? tho it's a bit of a stretch but I think its really really interesting nonetheless! also incredible video btw this was amazing I had a great time watching

I also remember someone on twitter saying both The Darkest Day and the War that broke out in Kalos were both 3000 years ago. Perhaps these two events and the ultimate weapon are connected?

Don't forget the statues of the pokemon that defended the lighthouse in hulbury, those are also a hint of Toxtricity's involvement of some sort

the crazy part for me is the inclusion of the lighthouse. we dont have a timeframe for anything, but what if that lighthouse was around during the darkest day? what if what the two toxtricities saved the lighthouse from was the G-max Toxtricity? in order to get to the lighthouse, it would have to pass the "Giant's mirror" huh, that sure is a funny name for the last landmark before a giant is faced down by two smaller, heroic versions of itself. matter of fact, lets review all of the "giants" areas. the "seat" (maybe read as "resting place") is filled with Steel types. perhaps the wishing star that caused the darkest day was unusually big, so this Toxtricity was bigger than the "normal".

heres a theory!!! i believe that the core of Eternatus is the actual pokemon. Eternatus is the source of energy and can change forms whenever it wants. when ever a pokemon dynamaxes, they are absorbing part of eternatus. if there is a sequel, im sure eternatus is going to have a new form and maybe itll be confirmed as an ultra beast.

I feel like it’s given that eternatus isn’t the darkest day, but it causes it and thus is the embodiment of it. I think that Pokémon in the geoglyph is a vague shaping of Eternatus that was simply drawn with the vague shape in mind.

Roman Bernal again, switches accounts, when you use gmax toxtricity’s move stub shock, it is a crimson cloud that shoots out lightning in the same pattern as the geopattern on the hill side. This means if my other theory was true, then the people made the image in fear because of toxtricity’s rampage. Also the smaller Pokemon on the hillside image were scattering in distress. ( i don’t mean to hate on toxtricity by the way, he’s one of the reasons sword is my favorite)

It could be an unprecedented fusion; they were big on fusion in this game too. I still think there's a bit more to this, like Melmetal sort of came out of nowhere and lore still needing to be explained

Something else I actually just noticed is that from the bridge on route 4, you can see a mountain in the background where route 7 would be that's been chipped unnaturally, as if some kind of meteor flew through it.

What I think is that a comet fell, bringing Eternatus with it, and that Toxel and Toxtricity are either a) mutated Pokémon or b) actual aliens brought along with Eternatus Its been noted that there were loads of Dynamaxed Pokémon during the Darkest Day. G-Max Toxtricity was most likely the biggest roadblock based on how it could poison the land itself, and there were probably more than one of them. Two things I'm curious about is whether or not Eternatus is connected to the Ultra Beasts/Necrozma/Solgaleo/Lunala, and whether or not Galar was the region Kalos fired its weapon at.

I think toxtricity is interesting bc of the idea of pollution. Maybe knowing how damaging it could be eternatus used it to spread its poisonous cloud.

Huh, it certainly makes sense. So far, apart from gigantamax melmetal which will become available when Pokemon HOME comes around, gigantamax toxtricity is the only gigantamax Pokemon not available for the game. Maybe some event later down the line will link this Pokemon with the glyph given how similar they look. Only time will tell.

Both Eternatus and Deoxys came to the planet on a meteor. Several other pokemon are described as coming from space. I wonder why so many pokemon from space are coming here

You have a great theory, but I think your off a little. One wishing star wouldn't be enough to wake him up, but a raging storm giving off limitless energy would. And who do we know that creates such an event? Seems more like a Toxtricity G-maxed from that fallen wishing star next to Eternatus' hole, which as you said appears to be right next to the only route you can find Toxal. If you think about it, it may be reversed if what this video says. While eternautus seems evil, toxtricity, when in gmax form overloads the earth with toxic fumes and acids. In similarity, eternautus is a huge battery that can consume and store limitless energy. So what if ( trust the video above more than me) gmax toxtricity was the antagonist. With eteranutus having a power storage-like body, he would be able to consume and stop toxtricity and its energy. Though when you go to the friendship measurer in that lives near the rose energy factory and he says, “eternautus thinks your to strict” ; henceforth this gives him a negative vibe, and he is a legendary who is like giratini and darkri (seemingly evil yet kid understood) in the Pokemon mini series “Pokemon generations” ( hinting on giritoni takes team ultra leader to the distortion world and gives him clarity). I believe that eternautus is the the true hero attempting to save the Galar region from disastrous pollution; the creator is right near a river/ water supply. on fact of toxtricity, he is much like archanine. Archanine was going to be the fourth member of the kanto birds ( the landorus of the group); as archanine is a sudo-legendary, so should toxtricity. Toxtricity is the the yvautal. Or better put, toxtricity is the kyogre and groudon of Galar. Side note it seems like gamefreak jammed many mainstream Pokemon game legendaries into gmax toxtricity. Primal evolve and kuyrem ( amped and low key fused to gmax). Sorry for the exec I let large comment.

In my opinion, I believe that the gigantamax Pokémon depicted could be gigantamax melmetal due to how it’s gigantamax form is more closer to the Pokémon compared to toxicity
