The last decade has been a real struggle for my artistic practice, but over the past couple months things have finally started to change. A big part of this has been my journey on The Drawing Year (at The Royal Drawing School), at some point I'll make a real long video about this and emptying my whole brain regarding developing as an artist, art careers and my experience.

Got some shows in London coming up! Our Open Studios show is from the 6th to 15th of December at Space Studios (Around the corner from London Fields). Finally our end of year show at The Royal Drawing School in Shoreditch is from the 7th to the 19th of December!

I sense your confidence has grown even in this video. Your art appears more self assured. 10 years seems to be the magical period. Maybe beginner artists have to go through the process of copying and absorbing other artist's work to come out the other end knowing what and how to produce work that say's something.

Feel like I'm really having a lot of fun working for the first time in forever 😆 I do think that people have different approaches to working, I seemed to take a route where I required more structure and learning from lots of references but I've seen others take a more instinctive approach. I plan to make more videos talking about these kinds of topics because it's easy to start comparing yourself to everyone and that can lead to confusion too. Thanks for watching! 👽
