28-year-old Becca is addicted to looking good, but her credit card bills are not a pretty sight. A PA at a luxury shoe company, Becca earns £28,000 a year, but in the last three years, she racked up an unfashionable £15,000 debt. But, she doesn’t just treat herself; Moloko the pug, and Buster the bull terrier are living the lush life too. Her friends think she’s gone too far.

Since both of her parents died from their addiction, it is entirely possible that her addiction is not only a maladaptive coping mechanism, but also a genetic predisposition. I hope she gets the psychological support she needs, & not just judgement from people who do not understand, or who do not WANT to think about this kind of thing differently than as a character flaw.

Me too! They are obviously not animal lovers. Especially the guy. Like, how dare they make snarky comments about her feeding her dogs healthy organic food. If you have a dog or any animal for that matter, you should be feeding them healthy food and so what if it costs a little bit more. The problem is obviously the three thousand dollar handbags and spending three or four hundred dollars a pop on shoes. Not the dogs.

For sure depending on the brand etc it can be great for them, as well as if you can afford it you can give dogs full people food diets as long as you give the right things, variety etc. Like giving your animals 100% dry dog food can probably suffice, but some people just like spoil their animals in some healthy ways

Never work for a high end store! You're encouraged to dress only in designer labels. I worked in selfridges for 2 years and built up £2000 worth of store card debt and over 7000 in credit card debt. I left because of the debt I was in and It took me years to get out of it. It looks so glamorous but its so dangerous.

She seems a nice girl who's hhd it rough with her parents passing.Think she hit the nail on the head, these people are not happy, they think spending is going to help, but the rush doesn't last long, they crave more and more.We all make mistakes and have our own addictions. Until we live life with thankfulness for the little things in life, and gratitude for what we have even though it may not be much, we may never experience true happiness. It's not so much what we have, but more who we are and how we feel about ourselves and life.gratitude and contentment bring true happiness, as well as self-love and love for those around us.Love each other people.

I’ve actually heard of people who are addicted to shopping, it is awful but they cannot stop themselves from spending money, even if they know that they will end up with no money, they do need help, everyone needs help with addiction, every social class should get free help with addiction or anything that would get them into trouble.
@saturationstation1446

shopping addicts are worse than drug addicts because a drug addict develops tolerance and has a point where their bodies will say "change or die" but a shopping addict doesnt have any immediate physical repercussions for their actions. just get credit card bills with big numbers and can file bankruptcy when they need to wipe the slate (the only thing comparable to a tolerance) of debt clean

Fabric is hella expensive where I'm at. Definitely not cheaper to make your own clothes when I can go to Winners and buy the same thing for 30 dollars. It's usually 16 dollars for a yard of fabric. Unless you catch it on sale or clearance but then it's usually picked through by the time I get to it.

I flew out to see my mother in law last May for my birthday. It was a dreadful trip..!! She was SO mean and rotten. I was horrified that she treated me like dirt, so I went to Cartier and bought myself a $4000.00 handbag to ease the pain. Not parting with this purse. It's beautiful. I had a bad feeling about the trip and should never have gone in the first place... Trust your gut feeling. I didn't..!!
