I think knocks off are okay when they're copying huge brands that basically charge their customer for the name without the appropriate quality. However, when bigger fast fashion brands steal a smaller company's design that can't afford the exposure... than it's plain low from those chains... 🤦‍♀️

It's a bit more nuanced than that. It's about power dynamics, punching up instead of punching down, that sort of thing. Some of us have a more grey scale instead of black and white moral outlook on the world and we like to take context into account. I'd rather maximise happiness in the world and if that means breaking some rules then so be it.

I knew they photoshopped the crotches of the models XD I work in a shoe shop, and sandals with those archways for your big toe suddenly appeared in this year's Spring/Summer catalogue. Who would design such a thing? Your foot would slide down and it would cut in between your toes. Is it to elongate the big toe? So it can become a separate being?!
