Duel Links can be really fun still. It’s just really difficult/annoying to keep up with the meta if you’re free to play. Which, fair enough. But it’s still a bit annoying. If duel links had crafting like Master Duel it would be much better. I don’t even think it would eat into Konami’s profit.

@@TheGuyWhoIsSitting True, it's hard to keep up with the meta but at the same time a lot of decks are able to get to KoG still. Sure, there are definitely meta decks but even a 0 gem cubic deck got to KoG once. And many decks can be played for quite a long time until it really falls off by a lot.

MMR is a system for matching people with similar skill. When you keep winning, you will be matched against better people. If MBT doesn’t play often, he faces the bottom of the skill barrel. And it costs hundreds of dollars to built s duel links deck

Running Kaijus in your tech slots is going to make you more susceptible to OTKs going first. And even going second against many mekk knight boards, the impact of a kaiju can be slim to none (I swear since the surprise present nerf mekk players added more backrow and half the time are just setting 3 and calling it a day when they go first). MST and, to a lesser extent, cosmic cyclone, are probably the best choices, followed by dark hole as the other guy mentioned. As a side note, code talkers with topologic bomber dragon, if you have the cards for it, seems to be shaping up as a great counter to mekk. Saw I recent tournament with someone playing it. Topo ate the mekks alive and the guy playing it won the whole tournament.
