One click earns one cookie, and that's how it begins. Then we start buying upgrades like farms and grandmas and they add automatic earning. The more we earn, the more we can upgrade and the more we can earn again. Many clicks later and I manage to be earning almost 1,000,000 cookies per second and things can only get better from here.

Once you get your first sugar lumps you should spend the first ones on wizard towers temples and farms. Those actually unlock new mini games which makes the game faster and more fun.

i remeber the days when i was abseloutly obssessed with this game. i kid yo not, at some point i had several linear progressions for several methods through whish to acheive prestige in the fastest time possible, a whole strategy on whish upgades to pick , and at exactly what time so that they provide the most efficiency of my money, it was the rason i learned data sience at the age of 14, and ngl ,i'm grateful for that game, it made my life much easier down the line. it's been years since i last played cookie clicker, but seeing that you are playing it, i may go back to it one last time.

Wait till you have a frenzy (x7 cookie multiplier) from a gold cookie, cast force the hand of fate (unlocked by putting one sugar lump in wizard tower) this summons a golden cookie with a 1/3 chance for click frenzy (777x click power), you should have the god of destruction in your pantheon slot (unlocked by putting a sugar lump into temple), selling buildings while this god is active gives a buff to clicks, the more buildings sold the better the buff, so click sell and then sell all on your cheapest building, click the cookie while the destruction buff is up, buy back the cheap buildings sell again to get the buff back for the remaining click frenzy time if you have a chance. You can also wait for a building based buff (1/10xnumber of that type of building owned cookie multiplier) which is better if you don't have sugar lumps to spare and low level wizard towers. This strategy is essentially the only way to progress in the game quickly. For your first ascension you're going to want around 215 heavenly chips. Hope this helps :)

A tip: Once your sugar lump is harvested you can spend it to increase the level of a building, which boosts that building's cps by 1% per level. The first four buildings you should level up are: farms, banks, temples, and wizard towers. You want to use your sugar lumps on these four first because they each unlock a minigame once they're level 1. The minigames provide things like passive bonuses, ways to invest cookies for profit, and even methods to stack golden cookie production modifiers.
