Wait until you grow up and get a partner, have kids, possibly a pet. People always say they’d love to live in a place like this coz it looks cozy and “quirky” Only single people with no possessions and no chance of getting with anyone seem to want live in crammed places like that permanently.p and the neighbours can hear everything Fine for a weekend but not permanently, may as well live in prison

We stayed last month and loved it! I didn’t fancy the stairs in the night so we turned the sofa into the double bed and had the bifolds all opened up in the day times watching the sea. Was amazing! The little swinging wooden bit was to hold the table in place when it’s lifted out the way! Clever design!

Have stayed in these before Tim, they are lovely. Better if there is four of you as the cost is spread out as can be quite expensive. They sleep up to six people (four adults and two children), where the dining table is folds out into a double bed and there is a single one opposite it. If you leave the upstairs window open overnight using the metal hook you hear the waves crashing in the sea. Also as a bonus you get free tickets for your stay on the land train that runs into Bournemouth from Boscombe from late morning till the afternoon (seasonal i think April till September). There are also barbecue stations to cook outside and a cafe right in front the lodges.

These structures are a fantastic answer for the housing shortage around the globe! I too, would be more than happy to live in a home like this. As for a holiday, providing the weather is on your side, you'll be spending the majority of time outside. You could easily sleep two more downstairs if you bring along some bedding/pillows. I think this would be a great week long holiday, at least, for anyone who can cope living in a "cosy" dwelling. Everything is supplied to be self-sufficient and all you need is groceries, yourself and a few good books. I like to see accommodations shown that most could likely afford. Thanks Tim.🇦🇺💖👩🏼‍🎨

When I was a teen my parents and I took our horses out to the mountains (Alberta, Canada) for 3 or 4 days of camping and trail riding. We stayed in a camper on the back of our truck. Cozy was the best way to describe it! We had just enough space to stay out of mom's way while she was cooking. The nights are cold in the mountains (the horses had shelter and they were fine) and being above ground in a cozy warm little shack on wheels was the best. When it rained at night it was the best feeling ever to know we were warm and dry. This little cabin brings back wonderful memories of sharing a vacation experience in tight quarters and I absolutely would enjoy staying there!

Did Tim say "no air conditioning" ? What? Those cottages look pretty new, and Tim noted that he thought the bedrooms were uncomfortable during his tour, and would be really hot during the summer or during a heatwave! I don't understand the lack of air conditioning in 2024 - especially in new construction. This is an area where the weather is hot and humid! Plus -- air conditioning is required for my personal safety -- I need to close and lock up all the windows and doors when I sleep. Tim noted that it "wasn't too hot". Well, I'm glad for that.

No for me tho I wouldn't be able to get up the stairs. I'm glad your bed was comfortable Tim! Be lovely for a couple of nights in mid summer & lazing on the Beach Sunbathing. You are absolutely right, as a single person who wants to live in a small place because I'm sick of living in my parents' pigsty (a very cluttered cottage so obvs just want my own space I can move around in, not barricaded by someone else's stuff), this is perfect if only one could make them a permanent residence. It's exactly the size I want.

With your apparent attitude towards your parents I imagine they would quite like you to move into your own place too. Perhaps you could help clean the ' pigsty' as a show of thanks to them for putting up with you now you're grown up but as yet appear to be unfledged.

@@bobbeorn I would love to but I can't move again, they refuse to throw anything away and dad forced me to move back in with him when I DID very briefly move out. So clearly he doesn't want me out or he'd build me my own place himself. I'm trying to be fledged. I loved the experience I had briefly renting and it was cheap compared to what you would find today but no once she died I stopped getting carers allowance and couldn't pay rent anymore. Sorry I'm childish for wanting to live in a clean tidy environment.

@@CheshireCat6639 Why is it bad that I don't want to live in a hoarders pit, why is that childish? It's THEIR mess I've had to put up with with 30+ years. They've yelled at me to keep a clean room but won't set an example.

Affordable air conditioner could be installed. Staying at that beach resort would be really nice. Waking up to the ocean is the best. I think its very affordable.

Maybe you can take an air conditioner with you! I don't think a window unit would work because of the way the windows open, but one of those standalone things that sits on the floor might be the solution for the whole place. I couldn't stay there without air conditoning.

@@c.phillips7728 I don't know why not either but usn't AC considered bad environmentally because of the power needed to operate? They seem to make more of buildings being well insulated. @@c.phillips7728 a split system, reverse cycle a/c unit attached to wall is what those huts need. Nearly every house in Australia has at least one. Cool in summer, warm in winter.
