9.0-9.3 has to be the most cursed BR range in the game. From 8.7 to 9.7 you go from Korean War era subsonics with guns only to supersonics with countermeasures and uncaged missiles. Keep going to 10.0/10.3 and suddenly you're facing all aspect IR and radar missiles (often without countermeasures on your own plane). The compression is absolutely insane.

Right after the Su-25 got bumped up, 9.0/9.3 were my favorite BRs. Every single game was a slight uptier to 9.7 only and full uptiers into all-aspect crap were incredibly rare. Gaijin then probably realized the premium kids were getting annihilated at 10.3 and "fixed" it immediately. It's back to all-aspect hell because we can't have anything fun apparently...

Also, people take head-ons because sometimes enemies force you into them, otherwise you end up in front of their guns And not all people learn how and when evade head-ons, even if you know how to, there are still some situations, especially in props, where you cant do anything to survive, except taking a headon

The Lim-5P when I ground through it, got nothing but downtiers because of the A-4E spam never has a grind been so easy, such a shame to see how many mach capable things are right next to 9.0

I’m a Sweden main (mostly because it requires the fewest RP and I refuse to buy premium out of principle), and the J29F, SK60B, and A-21A-3 are easily some of my favorite planes in WT. They’re all defined by good durability and great firepower, and that’s all I need, even if their maneuverability is shit That said, an average game of Air RB for me involves blasting heavy metal music (Metalingus, Deutschland, and Down In Flames are my personal favorite songs for that) and having fun. I’d honestly recommend it (having fun, not necessarily the metal. I understand that you’re an EDM guy)

The F4D rips if you turn and roll between 700-900 KMH IAS, and rips if you just turn with combat flaps between 600-900 KMH IAS. Thinking about negative g's rips your wings. Any amount of flaps work at any speed. If you find yourself suddenly playing Ground RB it's because you forgot to disable combat flaps.

Could you please suggest Gaijin to update the models of the Bf109 from the F1 to the G6 so that the propeller spinner actually spins like it does on the G10, G14 and K4? It looks really fake when you have a skin with a spiral painted on the spinner and once the engine is on, the spiral just becomes parallel lines or if you have a skin with a white and black coloured spinner it becomes a grey spinner. Has anyone else noticed this?

yo you should try the ki 84 specially the ko, its not japanese level turn but its around spitfire level it also has some of the best flaps in the game and surprisingly fast for a japanese plane i think you will enjoy it

the F4D's wings are still made of absolute wet newspaper, you still can randomly rip them right off at any speed above 900kmh

The F86A-5 is my favourite Sabre to fly, purely because it's a bit further from the shitshow BR. You can actually dual some MiG-15s occasionally.

Try the F104 or the La-200, the top 2 boom and zoom aircraft in the entire game. Even in a full up tier to 8.7 the La-200 still out performs everything else you can encounter. the only thing even getting close to it is the f86 which only gets .50's, while you get triple 30 mm's.

PLS suffer with the monster of a plane that is the J32B, is a half decent plane that has the constant full uptier syndrome. No tracers, but the 30mm hit like a death star.

The only BR's that I think need to change are F-84's to 8.0 (or remove airspawn) F-104's to 9.7 (at least) And AV-8's/ Harrier's to 10.0 That would make sub and trans-sonic jets so much better.

Can someone tell me how much this match is worth? 112 landing craft (navel targets) 4 air targets in a P-47D-25 (ger) circa 2017 Short answer is that I got norway (air RB) for the billionth time that night, got 4 easy dubs and the last guy on there team was an afk B-25. He dead ass flew till he ran out of fuel and glided down from space and crashed, this took till the last 35 seconds of the match. (this was back when air RB maps could go on for 2+ hours) And the landing craft that get sent to cap A on Norway just kept spawning, I must have landed 4 or 5 times just to get more ammo. (best war thunder match ever IMO) I do not remember the sl pay out from that match and I no longer have the screenshot but I know it had to have been high up there because my german P-47 still remains my highest grossing premium at 5.26M SL. (the only proof i can provide is a gamer tag: Rusty_Kuntz )

F104A is fun but you know what isnt *the magic*

I think you'll like the P-39N-0, it's awesome, you can easily outclimb everyone (if you sideclimb) and can usually get an easy bomber kill, and then absolutely dominate the fighters.

The J29 seems decent in air RB, but I fly sim a lot, and those are one of the easiest kills for any other jet.

I don’t like it either, I just got the a4e as my first jet, it sucks, your enemy had to be restarted for you to Actualy make it to base bomb

8.3 to 9.0 is the worst BR a plane can have at this moment in time and I don't even bother with those if they don't have an ace up their sleeve. Even the MiG-15bis and the Lim-5P are a pain to fly nowadays. The Mystere IIA at 8.0 is my relaxing fun jet. The IIC at 8.3 is better in every way, but it's borderline unplayable because of its matchmaker. I hope it gets better at 9.3+ Surely it will, right? ...right? 😰

Akans used to be really really good. With real shatter now the Swedish 13mm are better because they do the exact same damage but have a much higher fire rate. They still seem better then hispanos and maybe M3s but thats like saying you prefer a dry dog turd to a fresh dog turd.

the last 2-3 br`s are a cluster fuck of jets that shouldnt fight each other imo

Just recently got back into the game, I stopped playing years ago when I got the Mig15 bis when it was top dog. Grinded to the MiG19.. hated almost every minute of it, but I was hopeful that when I got the 19 it'd start being fun again. Never have I been so wrong. This game really only shines with pure dog fighting.. back when it was just f86's amd mig 15s, sure the game had its issues.. but at least it was playable. I don't even WANT a top tier jet, because it's just a point and click simulator with missiles from what I've seen. I have 0 interest in that. I might just grind out a 7.7 jet in another country and stick to that. Anything higher and the game is just god awful.
