I think you need to start over. I've noticed on the videos showcasing this boat that you've been moving like you were stuck in molasses, I was surprised you were tolerating it. This career run has been nothing but trouble and the physics of this save seem to be beyond borked. Don't you need to restart anyway to get the fish sell points to generate? I don't mind a classic career again, I do enjoy building the early stuff but I would not be disappointed if you speed run it by using old vehicles so you can get back to using this boat.

Your boat needs bow and stern thrusters to move it away from walls/boats. I think the devs broke something with the last update. Physics has become really buggy and like you say, the swim mechanic is horrible now.

i did that with tank steering so my boat could turn on the dime, it was a bit floaty (pun intended) but it worked really well!

Is it possible that this save is bugged which is causing all your problems. I don't understand how your hover thing worked for 2 episodes then suddenly just crapped out. There does seem to be some physics lag which is strange. Maybe you do need to just start a new career, feels like it's a jinx at this point

Yeah I have gone back in creative and can't replicate any problems. I think all the previous crashes just added to the worlds problems.

@@ProfNCognito on the hovercraft that likes to do a frontflip into the ground when changing to hover mode, does that have a PID with integral in pitch control? it looks to me like it accumulates pitch down trim in travel mode, possibly due to either drag or thrusters below center of mass trying to pitch up, and then when switching to hover mode it still has that trim and so it nosedives. that's my theory at least and the whole getting-stuck-into-the-wall thing happened to me before as well, super annoying, and i think it mostly happens with sloped hulls. on my tanker i put dedicated bumpers sticking out the side of the ship on the front and back, just a single row of blocks, and i think that helps to prevent it. really do need reverse though, when so close to a wall like that, all the rudder does is push the back into the wall without actually turning the front.
