So I sat wondering what I was going to do with my Sunday, then I realised it was DIY Danie day instead - yeeeeaaaaaahhhh. Great job, and you can tell you were doing it for someone special to you. At about 14 minutes in editor uses early morning sunlight and perspective shots to showcase videographers work and give me childhood retro 70's vibes for a second 🤤, add that to the mind jarring paradox of what came first? the video or the editor?, you totally deserve this desk.

Ah yes, the man behind the reason I can't just listen to Danie in the background- his edits are too good to miss! I watch things like this to decompress, and he ALWAYS manages to make me laugh, not to mention making the entire video smooth as silk for audio/visual transitions and such. Awesome that you were able to give him a desk upgrade while still keeping the things he liked about his previous one. I had some concerns about the lightning bolt idea but they were apparently unfounded since you completely blew it out of the park. You joked about him revisiting Barcelona with all the money he makes from editing, but for real, idk what you're paying him, but if anyone deserves a raise it's him (budget-permitting). He does incredible work, is highly skilled, and can take those skills anywhere, but he chooses to stay here with you. Cool that he got a beautiful desk and free artwork out of it, but cash is king! I hope you're able to pay him what he's worth!

A fantastic desk! The top is gorgeous and not just for a desk. I can imagine having one like this as a coffee table or a small kitchen table. The pours were such a pleasure to watch - felt like looking into a deep still pool of water. Very soothing. Glad to see you using those new welding skills. If you had worn the other welding helmet, the sparks would have made it clear that it was a dragon head, not an alligator or dinosaur!

Super creative idea. The end result looks so sophisticated as well. Dan was so blown away and delighted it was his! (Here’s just a thought for Dan’s office area. Perhaps they could install a shade from the ceiling to add privacy to his office area and so the living room doesn’t include the back of his computer screens.) Again, job well done! ✨🤘✨

It for sure has a much better vibe than his last desk, I do understand how things grow old and when we can better them up with a DIY there is nothing wrong with that. I just love epoxy tables, my dream one is one with a swirl design and galaxy pour with lights, with pull out drawers across the bottom of it, and built in cable management, and maybe wood inlays I love this one, and that it’s for the editor of this channel (Dan!), reminds me of Harry Potter with the bolt
