Well, he also doesn't realize that a female patron WILL be treated very differently from how he would be treated, even if he would not be an influencer ... Same goes for the plates ... the amount of plates he's pointing out is indeed VERY FEW for the amount of benches and machines they have. This seems to be less then a metric ton visible on 6 benches, that's nothing. Even if only half of them would be in use, people would indeed be missing plates.

cool product but makes you think "why?" ahaha. don't fix what ain't broke.
@joeyw4531
@joeyw4531 3 ай бұрын
@@kaylum983 There's several reasons "why". If you try to use power with freeweights or weight stacks, you''ll exert force the first portion off the rep and make the weights fly up the rest of the way. With air pressure there is no momentum, so you'll have to apply force through the entire range of motion. Then there's also the ease of adjusting weights, which makes it possible to instantly transition between resistances between reps.

Agree. Time of day is so different. I use my local YMCA at 5am, and it’s a really great vibe. Usually the exact same group of people getting it done in the gym, friendly and supportive. Nice community vibe. If I accidentally go in the afternoon when schools out, it’s a bunch of fuckboy highscoolers being fuckboy high schoolers, which is annoying at best. And you get all the aggressive basketball games going on, all yelling at eachother and sometimes fights breaking out. It’s a totally different scene to say the least. And lock your shit up in the afternoon. That’s when your stuff gets stolen. Early AM is no risk for theft

I'd always be sure to be out by 5pm, or get there after 7pm cos that's when the douches show up. They'd work out in packs of 6+ and stand around while they'd (one at a time) do one rep on a barbell that was way too heavy, grunt, drop it and chicken strut around the room. But if I was there at the Douching Hour, at least it was entertaining.

@@BigJonB36 Sadly dude, that's not even far from something you might overhear. Or you're trying to get checked in and you have to repeat yourself 5 times to them while they stare at their phone before they actually pick their head up, "huh? What's up dude? uhhh?" Or worse case scenario, you've got weird membership issues and because you come in to workout at 6pm, and sales leaves at 5pm, you literally never encounter someone who can help you. @@dobby240 that's not how commercial ACs work. If it was really 80, it would take probably an hour for it to go down to 70. HVAC systems set to 80 blow HOT air, and cold air to bring it down a whole 10 degrees. There's NO WAY *NOT* to feel that happening.

Yeah, I think it's good to keep in mind, a lot of places, their business is going to go through rough times, and hopefully get better (for the owner and community's sake). Best practice in reviews is to be concise, be honest, share the good, share the issues. Finally hope that, if it's bad that your review is going to become outdated in the near future. If it's good, hope it doesn't. (the dating of reviews is what makes me uncomfortable reviewing at all some times, but the good of information sharing supersedes that for me. Loved the video! Good stuff.

There's an Oceanfront gym in Galveston Texas that is the ratiest place I've ever been to In my life. I've been there three or four separate times, one time not only did I see toilet paper with shit on it laying on the floor but there was actually a turd laying a few feet further from it, everything was so rusty it ruined my clothes, it smelled like shit, the tanning beds and the equipment look like they hadn't been cleaned in decades. Definitely a place to go if you want to try to collect your life insurance policy

Second one reminds me of our training facility I mean, it was cleaned from time to time, but it was essentially a pole barn where we stored our rowing boats. Plenty of space, but the machiens were old and the floor was concrete with gym pads over it. Always had a bit of dust on the fringes. I loved it though. It was just team members, and squatting without a shirt on is absolutely primal. Nowhere else in the world can you workout with the boys shirtless. Came home and working out at a local gym now. I miss being able to have control of the gym speakers and no shirt on. I sweat a ton so having the shirt cling to you the whole time sucks. Especially when you've tasted the feeling of just sweating into the ether. No sleeve so you just let your sweat roll over your eyes. It's an amazing feeling. Even when I used the college gym (our campus is HUGE and our training facility was on the other side, and if class was letting out, getting across the river to it would take 40 minutes, where a 15 minute walk or 5 minute run would get me to the gym near me) it was a little basement gym in a 1930s building. Definitely looked like that. Crowded with college kids and their girlfriends. I loved it. The dank feeling. It wasn't terribly dirty, but definitely feels like a basement, and that hyped me up. If i needed a more traditional gym expereince, at the base of my apartment (so even closer) was a nice gym that was relatively uncrowded.

I've been in customer service roles my whole life, including the community and events manager of a 5-star gym (I'm talking 1000's a year, cryotherapy, 1on1 nutritionists, the janitor was told to memorize new member names by photo before their first day. My civic looked so out of place in that parking lot lmao). Some people just live to complain tbh, especially the higher up you go in terms of net-value clients. The 2/3 star reviews are where its at, those people are honest

I was beyond morbidly obese if there is a category above it or below it I don't know. I spent more years than I care to admit having just given up on everything. I can't remember how I came across you but am so glad I did you helped me more than you can imagine with your delivery and light hearted approach yet serious and instructive. It has been around 8 months now since started training tbh only had 4 good months, I was hardly able to walk and doc told me all bad things. I am now about 90kg (198lb) down I am still about as strong as a toddler but I can do things I thought were impossible to my old self now. I have a tomorrow now and am trying to make it better and you have been a big inspiration to me. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU! You were a big part in saving my life. Much love
