@@nomoretwitterhandles it's... a pretty common experience. I mean I'd say a large number of just people in general have a hard relationship with their families. It's likely that the content you enjoy just keeps your algorithm mostly free of that.

Mia is very lucky. Not everyone has parents they can be grateful for, and I'm grateful for people who speak out against parental abuse even though there's a huge stigma against speaking against family. I personally don't know KZfaqrs who rant about parents but a good example is the book I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jenette McCurdy.

Mia I have not spoken to my mother, or my family in almost ten years, due to the fact that I survived extreme abuse as a child and young person. Your videos and your wonderful kind mother bring me peace. Sometimes when I see you and your mom laughing together I cry. It is truly a beautiful mother daughter relationship, and it is so healing to watch. I wish I could have experienced having a mom like Mama Maples but I’m so glad mothers like her exist. Please know you guys are helping people like me.

I love me an Erewhon smoothie but 7/7 days at every open hour, they are super busy! AND sometimes the wait can literally be 30 minutes for them to blend it at 1pm on a Thursday... it's wild. Worth the wait, though, as a treat!

One of the things I love about KZfaq is when the algorithm throws up a video in my feed that makes me think the channel is going to be one thing and it turns out to be something completely different. I was watching woodworking videos and the post you made of you and your mum bulding returned furniture popped up. I love content from female creators who are excelling in a traditionally male dominated space so I watched the video, then went to your channel expecting to find content of you building furniture from scratch. However what I found was a million miles from that but even more enjoyable. I love how wide ranging your content is, there's something for everyone, and so many different topics you cannot be pigeon holed other than just great, fun entertainment. Most importantly for me though is how relaxed watching your content made me feel as I suffer from anxiety and depression so I was sorry to hear in this video that you also have problems with anxiety. I hope you manage to overcome it, but mainly I just wanted to tell you how much calmer I feel after binge watching your content. Anyway, subscibe button hit, bell hit, and like button hit from me.

As a Californian, I completely feel you on the traffic being stressful, especially in the Los Angeles area. Erewhon only has locations in the LA area, and that area in general is known for being overpriced on everything-real estate, groceries, entertainment, etc. It’s insane.

I work at a large grocery wholesaler and when we have produce that we have to pull from the shelf, if we can't donate it (too poor of quality to donate) we have a large organic dumpster outside specifically for produce to be composted and repurposed as fertilizer and animal food

Most restaurants are supposed to treat it like an allergy if they're asked to substitute an item whether the customer said it was or not. In a smoothie place people could easily be allergic to pretty much every ingredient they use and they have a limited number of blenders so they can't separate blenders by allergens. All blenders have to be washed as if the next person is allergic to every ingredient in it since there's no way to avoid cross contamination otherwise. If there was almond residue in it that would mean they don't wash their blenders properly and it most likely would've been an issue long before now

@@cream476 even if you wash a blender when things are busy there’s GOING to be residue A KZfaqr with MANY allergies also showed no matter how clean you think your appliances are if you use it with something someone has an allergy to it will cause a reaction. They’re suppose to have a set allergy blender for nut free things.

Mia with her anxiety is actually so relatable. When I come to new (especially good quality) places I also feel uncomfortable from the beginning and I'm afraid whether I look weird or not. However, I'm sure that people just mind their own business for most.

@@mermaidmoon9367omg yes! I learned my lesson when I went to the mall for 2021 Black Friday shopping. Had a panic attack, went home empty handed, haven’t been since. Groups of teenagers or just really classy middle aged women give me so much anxiety! And there were so many at the mall. I just thought it was place were you throw on pajamas and shop but no people were dressed up like they were going to a fancy dinner. Haha never again.

Pretty sure it said 5.49 under the sale price. But I will say Target is an unfair comparison. National chains like Target or Walmart will always be able to have lower prices because their purchase orders are much larger (cheaper cost) letting them make the price to the customer lower.

@@jessicadesmarais9256no that is the comparison. They are the standard grocery chains that the common people use. I’ve seen similar brands cheaper at smaller health food grocery stores. Also the Yogi tea brand was started by a disgusting cult whose leader was accused of raping potentially hundreds of women, so folks shouldn’t buy it anywhere regardless of price.

I live in LA County and there are alot of people who are rude and it doesn't matter where you go and parking anywhere in LA itself is insane. Unless there is a parking structure you gotta press your luck to parallel park in hugely busy traffic with people angry. Mia and Mama Maples are literally the cutest. ❤

Here in CA, a lot of times, stores are required to dispose of all leftover food because there are laws against donating the food. The health department won't let most places donate food IN CASE that food makes someone sick. Some stores won't donate because they fear someone would get sick and sue. It's really messed up.

I used to work at a grocery store in CA, and they did donate some food, but a lot of it they would toss because even if you donate food you can get sued if it causes someone harm, like it was expired or went bad.

I usually am not interested in watching content like this but I really love your content for some reason. I discovered you about a week ago and have been binge watching videos ever since and I always feel happier after watching and in a more positive mood☺️ you and your mom’s relationship reminds me of my mom and I so it makes me feel nice to see that.

Im glad the employee was nice, cause anyone who is mean to mama maples is in the BURN BOOK. 😂 In general ratings about employees treating clients are tough to trust because there are so many factors that depend on it!

I always take really poor review with a big grain of salt, because my manager got a really bad review saying *she* pushed an old woman to the floor and called her names ☠️ my manager was a man who literally carried spiders outside instead of smooshing them because he doesn't want to be mean

Your heart is in the right place, your videos are not focused and promote overconsumption, but are still fun to watch. Congrats on 11 years. The new merch is sooo cute and i love that it's sustainable 😍 Mama Maples is so adorable. I love watching y'all together ❤ About the recycling, I know in LA the trash is sorted after being picked up, so maybe it's that way all over CA? Either way, I wouldn't think they'd be using plastic cups and straws, especially with the costs of everything. They could afford cups made of recycled or compostable materials.

Con grants on your 11 yr anniversary. It is such a blast to watch you and Momma Maples.Honestly I think some of the pricing is well it’s CA. and everything is more expensive. It also seems like the premium cost is on their store brand and smoothies.

I'm honestly curious though, Mia and Mama Maples are SO NICE and friendly so I feel like the vibes get passed on to whomever they're conversing with. BUT if you're a nice person, just going about your average day, maybe having RBF and a lower tone, you'll probably get a different response? Even if you're not being rude. Curious..

I'm 65 yrs young & I'm sorry but I'd NEVER in a gazillion years pay £ 20 for a smoothie. What the heck 😮 I lost my mum in November last year (2023) to Alzheimer's, I still miss her. You & your mum are just fabulous together, never lose sight of that & always take care of each other x

I live in New Zealand. Just like everywhere fruits and veges have a 'beauty standard'... but one of the bigger supermarket chains has a "The Odd Bunch" brand which is all the seconds and their marketing is amazing. Also where I live there are loads of kiwifruit orchards and the beautiful fruit get shipped out of the country. So kiwifruit season if you don't know anyone in the industry to get the seconds free you're paying NZ$0.99 A KG. Also majority of our schools do free lunches so fruit that doesn't meet the size range etc goes to that also. ❤
