Love Jay but Staley is not a good coach. Maybe a decent OLB coach but he can not run a team or a side of a ball.

Hate to ruin a good comeback story (I think Staley is a throat cancer survivor) … but as a chargers fan , I think Adam Gase could do a better job with this roster .

Why do the Chargers keep hiring this type of HC? He seems like a ‘yes’ man and ‘yes’ men never make good leaders. The team needs a coach like Marty or Ross.

Spanos will never hire another reputable coach ever again. Coaches like Bobby Ross and Marty Schottenheimer are not easy to work with because they have experience and tend to but heads with management. Both those coaches got fired for the same reason. They could not get along with the general managers at the time, Spanos fired both of them for that reason. Coaches like Brandon Staley that are green are less dramatic And they don’t cost much Spanos is notoriously cheap.

lol he is not a good coach Jay. We know you have to say that to keep your connections in the nfl. But we all know dudes just a OC who reports to someone
