Elsham Hall and Country Park is nearby, losing a few bags of spuds wouldn't hurt them anyway, they probably got an accountant that will make good use of the loss anyway. £50k is a pittance to them and they will be insured up to the hilt anyway, however to be fair crime is rife up there. I went to a business community meeting in the area a number of years ago and witnessed a large brown envelope pass hands. A lot of burglaries and thieving crime goes on in the area however the higher end cyber, farming, property and government profiteering crime that goes on must far exceed the money involved in burglaries and pinching spuds, it runs into billions. btw I think you are probably right however I guarantee he won't be looking at his workforce anytime soon 😇

Don't be naive - if you've got a camera and a drone it gives you special powers to burgle anywhere... First of all, the camera will allow you to see through the fence and gate And the drone - well in this case he can send the drone in and steal one potato at a time... Ta da! after several hours of droning you might have 2.5kg of potatoes - worth roughly £1.50... Do the math - spend £1000 on equipment and you can get £1.50 worth of goods... Awesome right? 😂😂😂

My thought too. £50k of kit is not outside since it wasn't on view for BP, but forklifts inside and other kits such as computers will be inside and only known to employees and ex-employees.

Nice one BP. Have to laugh at his concerns. If he’s that worried about security, why are the gates wide open? He doesn’t want people to see his ‘sensitive secret spuds’ 🥔😂😂😂 And yet again, he uses the ‘coming around to film your house analogy’. His place should always be tidy, not just when the site inspectors are coming. I know the area where they’re based, not far from me - I wonder if they supply Pipers Crisps who are on the same site of course - I’m sure you’ll be visiting them as well. Call the police it's the easiest way 😂. Its time these criminals were heavily fined and custodial sentences handed out to these employees and business owners phoning the police for no reason. Somebody could be in genuine need and these criminals are 999 ing it. He's definitely got something to hide. So cagey.

During World War 2 the site was RAF Elsham Wold 1940-47 hosting Lancaster, Halifax and Wellington bombers. The former airfield layout is displayed on the 1964 OS maps but censored on prior OS maps. The industrial estate is the former airfield buildings and paved airstrips to the west and north. On the drone footage, at18.42 the farm buildings beyond the industrial estate predate the RAF on OS maps. At 19.02 the triangular field marks the southwest paved airstrip in the distance and the north paved airstrip at 19.07.

Sometimes it might useful to remind the person who wants to call the police that when you get arrested then their details will be available to you. They will also need to give a statement to the police that must be truthful and match your video evidence, a video they won't be able to see when they give their statement. Then when you are released (or even never arrested in the first place), they can be reminded that they will have to speak with HR and the legal department and give another statement in response to your civil claim for damages. And again they will need to be truthful and won't have any video to remind them what they said. Are they prepared for all that, just because they think something is wrong. Most of the time it won't be possible to go through this scenario. And many other times it'll go over their heads. But it might make some think twice. It's only a suggestion, and just one to add to a whole list of scenarios you can go through.

22:00 Did Richard think about how the burglars found out all the info about the site. Did he realise that the most common way burglars find out such info is from current or ex employees. Has he gone through all the staff who have been fired and investigated them? That'll be the most likely source for the info.

Lots of people missing the point here, he was offered to book an appointment and they would either say yes or no but the offer would be to see the workings of the factory, this is how it should be done and with decent people it is, the refusal to not give a channel or name makes it more suspicious to the owner, if you have nothing to hide then why hide your name or channel from the people you want to film and gain a far more interesting video of the industry in that area, it either works by them giving the information and having full disclosure or you don't and that makes the person filming, especially if you are covering up and not willing to communicate properly, thus not showing some form of trust or willingness to go down a route where both parties can come to an agreement about seeing in the site with the owners consent. The conclusion is that this is just being done to cause a nuisance to businesses rather than have an interest in what they are doing, and that is the difference between a photographer and an auditor.

I am not an auditor! I visit sites to see what I can see from the outside on the publically accessible areas and finish off with aerial views, I have no intention of going inside, if they invite me in, then that’s a bonus. I don’t ask them to come out and harass me, their behaviour is on them!

His logic is well and truly flawed. He seems to think that if you give a name you are totally legit. What if you give a bogus name? How could he check your name to see if you are who you say you are and a fine upstanding member of society. It sounds as if someone who had a 'tour' probably robbed him as they seemed to know the layout of the site, both inside and out. He also did not seem too concerned about those 'commercially sensitive' potatoes left on the road for his competitors to see.

Other businesses approach in the way he suggested, not individual members of the public. If BPV identified himself at all sites, he would be inundated with civil lawsuits raised by companies who feel in some way aggrieved. Who would want that?
