Just want to say how lucky you are to have Jordan and your family. Many years ago I was hit by a drunk driver and needed surgery. When I called my now ex wife to tell her she only asked about what car I was driving. It was her main vehicle and her only concern. But it’s the only reason I lived. She left me at the hospital and my friends needed to help me on the mend. Seeing the love your surrounded by is beautiful. I appreciate you and your channel. I hope your recovery is quick and well. Went through the same thing (and suffered front and back rotator cuff damage as well) successful surgery and climbed into my physical therapist's back pocket for 7 weeks. did every thing I was told. It turned out well- Ben I wish the same results for you. Keep the faith bruddah.!!!

Thank you Joran! Great job taking care of our boy! That anesthetic took a long time to get out of my body . I hated feeling loopy like that! The worst was my driver's license was expiring and in CA you have to go in person to renew it & this was within weeks. I remember trying to sign my name & couldn't get my fingers to do it (they don't care "x" was good). They have no mercy here! Thanks to my son in law Chris for driving me and daughter for taking care of me! It's just a process to work through. I know you know you'll be amazed how fast this will pass & you'll be right back at it! Best wishes to all for your speedy recovery!

Major injuries are part of surfing as we all know. this is the upside: you injured it and got your surgery at the end of winter imagine how bummed you would be if you injured it in November. good luck -you'll be fine way before winter

Ben, wishing you a full and speedy recovery. I did a similar thing on a right hander at Squan Inlet. Tore my lateral collateral ligament off the bone, dominant arm. Full elbow reconstruction surgery + 6 months out of the water doing therapy. I was FREAKING out because I surf every day & identified as such. I didn't want to be totally out of the scene so I learned to pilot a drone and really enjoyed it. I'm a lot older than you and have had a full recovery. My advice is that you follow the doctor's instructions on timelines. Returning too early can sometimes land you back where you started. Also, in my line of work, I have a lot of experience with clients with "Popeye arm" post-biceps tendon rupture & getting the surgery is the only way to go. It's irrelevant that you "felt fine". Don't question your decision to have surgery because you did the right thing. Light, love & peace!! March on Gravy Navy!

Im 55 and recuperating from the same surgery. I did it skateboarding in North Carolina , wild drop! 2 minutes of pure joy and two months recuperating 😂🛹🔥 I can’t wait to see you paddling out again, I can’t wait my self but easy does it. Careful Ben, anesthesia and food can make you nauseous. Rest up bro, eat, and drink lots of tea and water. Be nice to the arm and Do Not Rush It!! The easy part is behind you, the tough work is ahead....do not try to do too much, rest yourself, your mind, and your bicep. Once you get the go ahead, I am certain you will be an exemplary patient in rehab, you'll be stronger than you were before. We all love you dude, enjoy your down time.

That looks like a solid bummer. Get well soon ! 2024 didn't start too well here either, frozen shoulder. Will heal by its self but takes 2yrs. I was so psyched to keep surfing as i just started last year. I still have to go into the water for the first time now the inflamation has gone. I have 80% mobility in it and 80% power thanks to good exercises found on youtube. Gotta say, man... you took that well, it doesn't look pretty.
