In today's video I try do a cool paintjob I saw on the cover of HotRod Magazine. It was on this cool late 60's Camaro with a blower. I thought why not take all the cool vibes from the Camaro and throw them on a Shortbox Squarebody instead!

That turned out awesome. As far as another casting, man, that fade would look killer on most. And that’s your fav beer in there for sure lol. The colored windshields are terrible for us customizers.

I have to say that truck's original paint job looked GOOFY! The end result, however, is an absolute work of art! What would that rainbow effect look like on a Corvette? (And of course, would it look better on an older 'Vette or a newer one?)

This is honestly one of the best looking vehicles I have ever seen you make. thanks for showing us! As for possible full on rainbow cars, maybe some big 60s/70s station wagon. The only other thing that I can think of right now might be a lead sled of some kind but white pinstripes added to the overall rainbow paint scheme. This truck is going to be hard to beat for beauty, though!

I think something like that would look great on something long and sleek like '70's era muscle. Something like a Challenger, Charger, 'Cuda, Dart, or a Roadrunner would look really good decked out like that.

This one turned out flipping SAWEET dude! It really works with the silver undercoat, and the glass works really well with it too! The full body paint job would look killer on a van! Maybe with some black silhouetted mountains and trees on the bottom edge.

I'd go with the 1970 Plymouth superbird. The big spoiler on the back would play well with this fade. The A Team van and 8 crate both have a lot of real estate to showcase this paintjob as well.

Years ago, one of the craziest fads in South Texas was full size pickups with rainbow color paint jobs, dropped with ground effects and short fat tires. If my memory serves me correct, it was a company named ChooChoo Customs.

Hey there. Thanks for the awesome tutorials. You are not the only one that gets stuck with large amounts of metal to eat away to open a hole or vent, we all feel your pain. But next time, try to get a hold of dremel part 199. It will chew through that stuff quick smart. Word of warning, it wont break apart like a sanding disc, but it bites like a b#%ch and loves to run, so avoid using near surfaces you need unblemished.

The windshield works surprisingly well reminds me of the old gassers and funny cars with colored windows, and as far as what car to do it on I'd say a large casting something with a lot of area

It’s a great piece of work. I think I would have done the gold flake under the candy. To make it a true candy apple rainbow. Createx candies are amazing to work with.

You should look into building a simple soda blaster for removing paint. They are dead simple to build a small one that would take seconds to strip a hot wheels down to metal. I built a big one I use on full size car parts in my shop.

Just started trying to get a great paint job on scale vehicles. Only done scenes, Armour, Sci Fi and fantasy/d n d. A real change. I started with 1/25, but this is a quicker fun way to get my bearings.

OK- Paint job looks beautiful!! Love the truck! Was thinking about doing something like this as flames or scallops. Not sure about the fade on a full car-Maybe the '55 Chevy gasser or that Nova wagon gasser. Those or an early '70s funny car. Maybe do some panels or psychedelic striping in the base toner paint. There is a '67 GTO Hot Wheels with a full-fade paint job and it looks great, so it should improve just about anything and everything.

I think you should have drilled out the exhaust tips and blower for more realistic detail. But oh man the truck looks really friggin awesome. I really really LOVE the paint job. Two thumbs way way up!
