i think the reasoning for so many jazz paintings in the base game is bc willow creek is meant to be Louisiana and jazz was (probably still is) known for their jazz music scene from back in the day.

Maybe the windows key doesnt work because you acidentally pressed the function key and the windows key together which turned it off, to fix that just do the same thing again press both keys at once, if that doesnt work you can press alt and tab to access other windows and desktop :)

How about a challenge where you choose a color, and place every object of that color that you'll use through the whole house, then go to next color, and repeat until you finish the build or you've ran out of colors. You just can't go back to previous colors. Bonus points if you don't touch the objects that you have placed after you move to the next color.

You know what gets me about all the jazz themed art? THAT WE DONT GET THE INSTRUMENTS DISPLAYED IN OUR GAMEPLAY. GIVE ME BRASS, WOODWINDS, PERCUSSION. Hell, even some strings other than bloody violin and guitar!!! it enrages me that we can’t have more instruments. I can’t even mildly pretend to live my perfect life through my sims when I, a low brass player, have to make my sims pick up the feckin violin. This has also now provoked my brain to dump ideas so I’m going to dump it here, but imagine if we could have bands again, but like jazz bands, orchestras, choirs, chamber music, all that fun stuff. THERE IS SUCH A MISSED OPPORTUNITY FOR SOME REALLY FUN GAMEPLAY. Imagine possibilities for the lore with band drama! The tea over who gets first chair, who didn’t get in, who fucked up the performance. BAND RELATIONSHIP TEA!!!!!! section banter!!! The amount of lore and story expansion having more instruments and the functionality of playing in groups would have is insane. The could probably even lace it in with the clubs function even when you think about it. Anyway, props to anyone who read this far into my info dumping, it is midnight and I should be asleep so it all probably made no sense😂

For the windows key not working, you might have enabled game mode which disables the key to avoid accidentally tabbing out of games. You can check that from your windows settings > gaming > game mode

So your blood is either red (when oxidated) or pink (when not oxidated) never blue, the blue-ness is the colour of the vein itself

I think this challenge would be really cool for some of the iconic builds such as the goth's house adn the landgrab's house

0:39 WD-40 is a solvent not a lubricant, it will lubricate when freshly applied but so will water or pee and nobody wants a peed on hinge in their kitchen. After letting sit though it eats into metal and collects dust as it thickens making what needed lube worse over time. A small drop of 3-in-one oil is what's needed for that mic arm and tightening of the joints. Use WD-40 to clean then an oil to lubricate. If you doubt it eats into metal then buy some WD-40 that's not in a spray can, pour it into a plastic bin, drop a spoon into it, cover it and put it away. Then repeat with any oil except cooking oils(unless you enjoy gross smelling rotting oil). Check the spoons a month later, oil bathed will be oily but unchanged and you could see a warped reflection of yourself in the bowl, WD-40 bathed spoon will be a new satin finished spoon and you can see a base color of yourself reflected. 3:20 House looked better before recoloring, tacky AF after. The black does not work for this home but the colors EA chose did especially the Spanish tile roof color. Trim does not need to contrast the wall like black trim and white wall, it could and even should be a complimentary shade of the same color, go to a paint store and look at the color swatch paper things with 5 colors from dark to light, find the swatch with the light color you want for your walls and the perfect dark trim is decided on the top of the same piece of paper and you have a handy piece of paper with 5 colors from wall bright to trim dark to use when picking out furniture. Then I don't get the hate for EA's homes in the Sims games. Yeah they are not dream home fancy, they are functional though and the wallpaper may be just what the owner likes . Kinda like the real world.

Hmmmm -- not sure I'm sold on the outside, but a lot of the inside is pretty good. Yes, the bedroom with the fun rug and the 70s pink bathroom are the best rooms, but you did pretty well making sure the rest of the swatches were cohesive. :)

No, your recoloring definitely improved it--the black and white and consistency makes things look cleaner, more open, less "LOOK HOW FANCY I AM". At least, as much as anybody _could_ do that with not being able to change the actual furniture itself. :P

Hah, this house... I've uh, seen a good many deaths in that one because I use it for self-created grow-up challenges (play/control a toddler with 7 uncontrolled adults set to full autonomy, and meet various goals in order to go to the next growth stage and eventually move out at young adult stage). That backyard BBQ is the worst offender, it's like moths to a flame.

Some keyboards have a “windows lock” function so that you don’t accidentally hit windows and fuck up your gaming session if you’re in an FPS or something. Check to see if the indicator light is on next to your page and num lock lights (it’ll have a windows symbol). Turn it off to be able to press ur windows button in game, should be function + windows key to toggle but that could be wrong

I did this a while ago but I changed the goth house to white and light blue

The interior I could take or leave, there were certainly parts where the original build sucked and you improved them, but there are also parts I don't like - for example, I once had a pink bathroom, and I hated it so much that by the end of my year there I would use the room with the lights off so I didn't have to see the pink. On the other hand the exterior, with cream walls and orange roof, is showing a distinct architectural style that is popular in some countries, so making it black and white is... weird.

Depending on your keyboard's brand what you'll need to do to re-enable the windows key will change, I have a varmillo brand keyboard and I have to press windows key+fn to toggle my windows key being enabled. If that doesn't work for you, I'd google your keyboard brand + windows key not working and you may find some results that way. Good luck!
