Hello lovelies, today I will be trying Audrey Hepburn's Vintage skincare routine for a week.
Audrey Hepburn embodied the ideal of an everlasting beauty icon. Her beauty is still wanted fifty years after her peak, with amazing bone structure, radiant complexion, doe eyes, and the beautiful full brow. Her on-screen presence was mesmerizing in films like Roman Holiday, My Fair Lady, Sabrina, and Breakfast at Tiffany's, cementing her place as one of Hollywood's most iconic and celebrated actresses.
Audrey was a one-of-a-kind combination of class, talent, and stunning beauty that made her not just a great actress but also a good person. She was not only a dream to see on television, but she also had a lovely personality and lived to help and inspire people. Her laid-back attitude toward fame was pleasant, and it just added to her likeability.
"I'd make a fortune if I had [beauty secrets]." But I know what works for me: good health, a lot of sleep, a lot of fresh air, and a lot of Estee Lauder support."
Audrey Hepburn was notorious for her secrecy when it came to her beauty routine. However, it is rumoured that she was a lover of Estee Lauder, a cult beauty brand. "I start and conclude my day with you," Audrey once wrote on a postcard to Estee. Renutriv has been around since 1956, making it a classic (and Audrey's personal favourite). The items are ultra-luxurious, made with only the best ingredients. The Ultimate Diamond Transformative Energy Creme is filled with collagen for smooth contours and Black Diamond Truffle to give skin a boost of energy and luminosity. For a beautiful complexion, use it both day and night.
Lauder began selling one of her uncle's mixtures to her friends under the moniker Super Rich All-Purpose Cream. She distributed Dr. Schotz's Viennese Cream and Six-In-One cold cream to beauty shops, beach clubs, and resorts. Florence Morris, the owner of the House of Ash Blondes, approached Lauder one day when she was getting her hair done and inquired about her flawless skin. Estée returned to the beauty shop shortly after to distribute four of her uncle's creams and teach how to use them. Morris was so taken with Lauder's products that she asked her to offer them at her new salon.
The Night Repair serum, which was first introduced in 1982, signalled the start of a new era in skin repair. The texture, the recipe, and the technology of the original product were all unique, and they remain so to this day. When it first came out, ANR set the standard for skin healing, and it continues to do so today.
The actress was a fervent user of Estée Lauder care products. She even confirmed her loyalty: "I start my day and I finish with Estée Lauder." Especially with the famous serum Advanced NightRepair, created in 1982, and since best-seller of the brand

Erno Lazlo
"I'm a big fan of manicures." Overdressing is something I believe in. I believe in primping and lipstick at my leisure. "I'm a pink person."
Audrey Hepburn was always perfectly primped and groomed. She was a skin care aficionado who thought that flawless skin could never be reached just via the use of makeup. Erno Lazlo, a vintage Hollywood cult favourite, also had a place in Audrey's vanity. Her favourite soap was the organic Sea Mud Soap, which was 97 percent natural and kept her skin clean and shiny. A simple steam facial twice a week to effectively clear out pores was another trick she ascribed to her bright face.
"If you want beautiful eyes, search for the good in others; if you want beautiful lips, use only kind words; and if you want poise, walk with the certainty that you're never alone."
"The only beauty that never fades is elegance."
"Audrey is unrivalled!" Her influence is still with us and will be for the rest of our lives."

I’m really liking these videos of trying different skincare routines for the week. The old packaging is so awesome. A good trick to keep your skin more hydrated is to apply your moisturizer or serum on slightly damp skin, right after cleansing. If your skin is fully dry by the time you apply the serum, your skin won’t be as hydrated. I learned this recently from a skincare youtuber and it makes a big difference for my dry skin.

I love both Erno Laszlo and Estee Lauder. The cleansing oil before the Erno Laszlo sea mud soap is a must. Love the retro Estee Lauder set! Beautiful packaging.

I love both of these lines too. I have been using mainly Laszlo products for the last 20 years. I have consistently used the phelityl oil and sea mud soap along w/ the classic splashing cleansing ritual everyday for the last 20 years. A must for me to keep my skin clean and glowing.

Thank you for sharing! If anyone here likes or wants to try the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum but it isn't in their budget, I recommend Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Probio Ampoule, which is a great dupe at about half the price. Both serums focus on probiotics/ferments to regenerate skin.

Your skin is glowing and dewy! Estée Lauder is definitely worth it cause your skin looks highly moisturized. I just watched your Marilyn Monroe video. Your skin is dry because those toners contain a high percentage of denatured alcohol which is drying to the skin. But I see the Estée Lauder is great for your skin.

I've been using the Advanced Night Repair serum for over twenty years now. I swear by it. I use it only at night (four or five drops) and I find that it has kept my skin looking youthful and fresh. I started using it when I was in my 30s (I am 53 now). By the way, one trick is to use it on face, neck, décolletage, and backs of hands.

Thank you so much for another great video! I'm an esthetician and your friend is right. You want to use a light touch on your skin. One more thing to add: use upward strokes instead of downwards! As far as the eyebrow waxing mishap, there a few possible causes. Your skin might be on the thinner side (mine is too!), so it might be more sensitive to waxing. Threading is a great option in this case. The other cause could be an exfoliating treatment thinning your skin and making it more sensitive. You said this happened before. Were you using any kind of chemical exfoliant at that time? The third cause could be that the wax was too hot and damaged the skin.
@Laurajaneatelier

Thank you!! Yes I’m going to start using upward strokes. I have been using retinol so it’s probably that

Hi Laura! I just have to tell you what a stupid mistake I made. After watching this video, I decided I was going to purchase some of this product. I've been using Avon and haven't been too happy with it, so I went online and ordered a gift set so that I could start off with smaller sample sizes to make sure I was going to like it. I LOVE it! I noticed a difference in my skin in just a couple of days. After a week and a half now, I am thrilled with the results. Got online this morning to order more product. Not cheap, by the way. Then came back to watch this video again and realized I purchased the wrong stuff!!! I ordered Elizabeth Arden instead of Este Lauder!!!!!! I think that's so funny! But I love it! One mistake I'm glad I made! But I'm 60 and my skin probably has very different needs than yours. To any older ladies out there, I highly recommend the Prevage line by Elizabeth Arden. Thanks Laura! I hope you're having a lovely day!

This is an older video, but I’m literally binging your content!!! ❤ the eyebrow thing is common when you are using exfoliating products. They usually have you sign a paper that asks if you have used a retinol or retinoid because the skin will literally rip off with the wax. However, us sensitive girlies can have it happen with things like BHA/AHA or glycolic or pretty much anything that will increase cell turnover. 6 weeks of resting the skin of retinoid, retinols, or regular (gentle/daily) exfoliation

Loved this video! Audrey is one of my favorites, a true style icon.😊 With the Erno Lazlo products you referred to in the Marilyn video, I believe the toners dried out your skin. The second ingredient in both is Alcohol Dent…very drying. Plus the recommendation to dry your skin so often promotes transepidermal water loss. The moisturizers wouldn’t be as beneficial because you need to have a damp face to allow for better absorption.

The Laszlo sea mud bar does make a grayish lather and smells a little earthy. If you are finding it too drying you should try using the Laszlo hydraphel cleansing bar and corresponding toner. The original sea mud bar is meant for normal to oily skin types. You sound like the dry skin type. Lauder is an amazing line as well. I love the Swiss Performing Extract and the original formula Renutrive cream. Both are classic beauty moisturizers and smell divine. Both are excellent for dry skin types -very emollient.
