Full Recipe here ⬇ ☆Recipe for the icing☆ 200g icing sugar 30g egg white Yellow and green food colouring 1) Place the icing sugar and egg white in a bowl and mix well with a spoon (about 3 minutes). 2) Mix until peaks form. 3) Take two small pieces. Colour one of them yellow and the other one green. (Put each piece in an icing bag.) 4) Take some icing for the roof and thin it with water. 5) Keep the rest for assembling the house (don’t add water to this icing.) ☆Base of Christmas House☆ 180g unsalted butter 120g icing sugar 40g egg yolk 400g plain flour (divide into 130g and 270g) Red Food Colouring 6) Leave the butter out to soften, then put it in a bowl and beat it with a whisk. 7) Add the icing sugar and cream the mixture. 😎 Add the eggs and beat the mixture. Take 1/3 of the mixture and add the diluted red food colouring to dye it red. 9) Add 130g of the flour to the red mixture and 270g to the rest of the mixture, then fold it in with a spatula. When no loose flour can be seen, use the spatula to thoroughly mix the flour into the mixture. 10) Mould each mixture into a lump, wrap the two lumps and leave them in the fridge for 1 hour to proof. 11) Cut the pattern of the house out of cardboard. Roll the dough out to a 5mm thickness, place the cardboard pattern pieces on it, and cut out the pieces. Use a ruler or knife to carve the patterns of the roof. 12) Bake for 15-25 minutes at 170°C (preheated) until the dough turns golden brown. Leave to cool afterwards. *Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes like a Christmas tree and a star. Use round cutters in two different sizes to make a ring-shaped cookie for a wreath. Assembly ) 13) Draw on the windows and the pattern of the door with icing. Add icing patterns to decorations like the wreath and the tree. 14) Apply icing onto the edges of the walls. 15) Stick the four walls together. 16) When the walls are stuck together, apply icing where the roof will go. 17) Stick on the roof and draw on the windows with yellow icing. 18) Decorate till your hearts content.

It’s a little rustic, but cute nonetheless. There’s quite a bit of skill and practice involved with piping icing. My daughter and I have tried a few projects with not so perfect results but we had a great time doing it. Every time you do it you get a little bit better. ❤
