The irony is that if it was not sunk at it's maiden voyage, in the horrific way we all know now, it probably never was famous. Maybe sunk in WW 1 or 2, or scrapped in one way or another...

What are The scales of these houses? Some look quite a bit bigger than others ? It would be cool if that was mentioned along with the other info - but I subscribed anyhow :)

Wouldn't watercolor create stains with any accidental drop of moisture?
@TasminBassettArt9 күн бұрын
Well I prefer using the gouache as its a bit steadier if you where worried about it running if you get them wet again you could use slightly watered down acrylic as it sets harder but you do loose the softer texture a little.

With what paint are you painting it ? I want to make a custom family
@TasminBassettArt10 күн бұрын
You can use gouache or watercolour.

I bought the Old Oak Hollow at a yard sale for $25. It’s actually featured in your video at the 2min 30 seconds into your video. It was missing the bridge but I made one to replace it. Thank you for a wonderful video!

Lego is the plural of Lego. "Legos" is a horrible Americanism, don't use it.

We used UV resin. One little dot in the centre of the tile and as soon as it starts spreading, use the UV light. This way you get a dome shape to each tile. It's more complicated than your way, and you need the resin and the UV light first, but your ways are so much easier!
@TasminBassettArt18 күн бұрын
Good idea you could probably use clear uv gel polish too
Thank you so much ❤ It's very beautiful and easy 😍

I remember seeing the model that was used for the movie A Night To Remember when I was a kid 50 years ago. I thought it was over 60' and would be rank as one of the longest models.

The tale of two bad mice was one of my favorites and I've always loved doll houses. To this day I still collect miniatures. I think probably because of this book! My mom still has my old DH. I just shared this video with her. She'll love it!

So the original scenes are gone forever? Wow that is so shitty! I've loved Dali since I did a project on him in high school 25 years ago, but I hadn't heard of this film. I'll definitely check it out but man it's sad I'll never be able to see the original scenes. I bet they were incredible!

I have the chipmunks, I got a full family set and I just painted the babies heads and they turned out pretty decent. I bought them to test out my skills at restoring before I embark on refurbishing some originals

Nice Video. I make my Butterflies out of Aluminum, paint it and put the antennas. The body I make it in a 3D printer or carve it in wood so the whole thing looks real.

I know this is WAY out of the league of thses absolutely stunning houses, but.... the lady from Bentley House minis ( I 've forgotten how to spell her name) made a Addams Family house that took years to make and it's AMAZING. It was also displayed in a museum for a time. Obviously not this level of work but I love what she does. 😄
@TasminBassettArtАй бұрын
Yes I know of her channel. Amazing work. I'll have to include her house in a horror dollhouse video or something.

Interesting video, one small correction, Queen Mary did not commission the Dolls House that carries her name. It was presented to her to raise money for her favourite charities. It toured around Great Britain before Windsor Castle became it's permanent home.
