I went shopping in ‪@tesco‬supermarket for 'new in' food to taste test and see if it's worth your money.
I was joined by my partner Josh who helped me rate the new food and snacks out of 5. We also talked about the price to see if any of this new food is actually good value.
There were a few standouts but largely disappointing! ‪@pieminister4822‬ now have 'handy pies' which had good flavour and ‪@tesco‬ finest sour cream and lime tortillas were 5/5 - and good value.

Please Try fully loaded jalapeno and buffalo wing flavour peanuts from Aldi. I think both are sensational! Best since nobbies(before they changed) very good value.

Also Mr Kiplings tasted ghastly for years. Refuse to buy that brand now. And I agree on those malteser cake bars far too rich and nothing of them!

Jaffa "Cakes" have been scientifically proven to be Cakes hence the name. There is nothing more to it and no need for debate. "But you eat it them like biscuits"...I have never understood this argument. The art of eating is 1. Open mouth. 2. Insert food item. 3. Chew. 4. Swallow. So, how you eat it makes no difference. Also, if I were to eat cake, I would accompany it with a mug of coffee, and if I were to eat biscuits I would accompany them with a mug of coffee, so there is literally no difference in "how" they are eaten. One more thing on "Jaffa" Cakes...The word "Jaffa" implies orange, so why on earth are they now coming out with different flavours!?! These Bao Buns are gorgeous but as you noticed, if they have just been heated, they are ridiculously hot, almost to the point of being dangerous. My favourite filling for this is the Duck with Hoisin Sauce. "I am giving it a 4 because we cooked it wrong,. If we had cooked it in the oven I would give it a 5"??? 🤣 Come on guys! You cannot deduct points for your own mistakes. Pastry of any description does not belong anywhere near a microwave, where you are effectively steaming it!!!

I love the detail of this comment. Food is serious business!! The new flavour of Jaffa cakes are a bit random/gimmicky, probably just a marketing strategy to get people talking. I take your point on the pasty/pie but microwaving was the main heating instruction and as you pointed out, it simply doesn't work! In hindsight it's probably just a bad product cause it was sold as a convenience food. Thanks for watching / commenting! 🙂

Also there was a court case and the verdict came back as Jaffa cakes are cakes
