i was going to say pretty much what you said (except I've been a sub since below 20k and said it then) The content is interesting and Sam is a charismatic, with out being over the top, presenter. My hope for him is by the end of 2024 he has over the Magic Million subscriber count.

For the people complaining about the scoring system, remember he's trying the best wings in every state, so all of them are going to be very high scoring just bc of that

For Domu, its very likely if they're taking inspiration from Korean and Japanese fried chicken, they're probably using potatoes starch

That or i worked at a thai/korean chicken place and we used a rice flower dredge that was gluten free

The original style especially looks just like a standard Nagoya Tebasaki (tebasaki basically means wings in Japanese). Potato starch is used for this style generally.

You gotta try Shakers Public House in Columbus, OH. They recently had a really bad kitchen fire not too long ago, so dine in is closed but they are still in operation as a remote kitchen. It's a great story of the community rallying around a great local business after a horrible accident, but they also have some of the absolute best wings in the state.

There’s a small brewpub in Mobile, Alabama, that has the hottest wings I’ve ever had. It’s called Iron Hand. The owner is real top notch guy and he grows his own peppers. The house made reaper sauce is absolutely brutal.

14:34 When you make your way to Louisiana, you have to try the “Jazzy Wings” from Copeland’s! They are only served in one flavor but they are simply delicious. The owner, Al Copeland, was the founder of Popeye’s and Church’s fried chicken, so the man must have known a thing or two about chicken.

For Ohio you should try wild mikes in Cincinnati or shakers public house in Columbus! Also roosters is a popular Ohio based chain with good wings.

SAM! Fantastic video as always. Editing on point, and I love your commentary/narrative, its so strong in all your videos. Suggestion: the titles for this series are somewhat ambiguous. I wanted to see you Delaware wings after you mentioned them, but didn't really know where to look. That brings up the point that I haven't watched your other wing videos, mostly because they seem kinda longform which can be great, but if I just wanted to watch a specific state's wing spot I would be lost. I would say maybe calling it "I tried the best wings in every state [Part 3: Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina] with chapters in the video player, I would find the video much more attractive and easy to watch.
