When I was in college, I was doing a report on fast food restaurants, going into nutrition, sanitation, etc. The Taco Bell on campus was by far the cleanest, most organized and most cordial of any of the restaurants I visited, which was the complete opposite of what I had expected. I truly do think they get a bad rap that isn't entirely deserved.

You can swap "steak" for beef at taco bell for a buck extra, but i guess you like chipotle's better.

Not sure why, but you can find churros pretty much everywhere in OZ. Guzman y Gómez would be more like a Chipotle. KFC chips are way superior because they have chicken salt and Aussie burgers with beetroot are so good.

I truly hope King of Wings in Denver (the Golden location is close as well) makes the list. They are smoked and grilled, seasoned well, with delicious sauces like tangy gold. Sam if you need anything while in Denver I got you. By and large my favorite wing spot. Please don't listen to the Fire on the Mountain requests they've fallen off in my opinion. Great sauces there but mid ass wings.

You gotta visit Japan sometime. I think you'd be blown away by the quality of the fast food here. Just about every American chain that also exists in Japan is better here, with KFC being the most notable (honestly, I don't even know how people can stomach KFC back in the U.S., but here in Japan, it's basically an institution, and is THE most popular location to get food from on Christmas Eve!). And Japan's homegrown fast food chains all tend to be really exceptional, with Freshness Burger probably being the most consistently top-tier -- though Mos Burger ain't bad either! Not many homegrown options for chicken, though -- aside from the chicken sandwich selections at Freshness Burger, Lucky Rocky Chicken is the only one I know of, and I'm not sure if they're still around or if they shut down... but they were fantastic while they lasted, if they did shut down! And basically NO options for Mexican-inspired, at least in the fast food sphere, aside from the handful of Taco Bells that exist here (which are, unsurprisingly, arguably superior than their American counterparts!) -- though Guzman y Gomez also exists here, but it seems like more of a sit-down place than a fast-food restaurant? I've never been -- I may have to check them out now! As a bonus, if you ever do visit Japan, get Domino's while you're here, too! There is no American chain that got a bigger upgrade in Japan than Domino's. (The price got upgraded with it, sadly -- BIG TIME -- but if you use coupons, it's not too bad, and the quality of the food is almost undeniably way better!)

When I saw that you put American McDonald's above Aussie places I knew your taste is bad. American Maccas has terrible, especially for quality. All of the Aussie versions of American chains are mostly better when it comes to quality and freshness.

McCafe is huge in Australia because we invented it. And Australia has a tone of coffee snobs.

KFC in Australia sucks. No matter where you go, it's like the chips need another minute to cook. Red Rooster used to be even worse than KFC. But in the past decade or so, they've really sorted themselves out. I used to avoid RR. But when I tried it for the first time in years, about a year ago, I thought they'd finally joined us in the 21st century. RR beats KFC now, for sure. KFC is complete garbage in Aus. And I say that as someone who used to love it. But it's just a constant disappointment now.
