@@benthead My aunt took my cousin and I to a Mcdonald's for a snack. At first we were like " no no, it's fine, no need for fast food." The one we went to wasn't nearly so fancy as this, and she ordered me a grilled chicken sandwich, which i was like " it's usually pretty dry, this is going to be bad." but when i bit into it, i was like " Whoa, this is not only great, but it feels sooo much healthier than eating in the states."

@@benthead I've been to McD's in a couple of European countries and I've been to one in both Japan and China and all of them tasted better than the ones in the U.S. I especially like the ones I had while in Germany as I absolutely love their fries. It's so different than the fries in America. I even tried it their way with mayonnaise instead of ketchup. It's quite tasty. When I'm traveling, I always try to eat as cheaply as possible so this means a lot of fast food places.

Pizza Hut is a full service restaurant chain in China and we have fancy items like lobster pizza, risotto and butterfly shrimps. It could be quite expensive, but weekday lunch is very affordable. McDonald's menu is quite close to the American one, just taste fresher and cheaper. KFC menu is really different. We have congee, soup and beef items. Zinger has been in the menu for decades. However, they are designed to cater our taste. You may not like it if you are from America.

People don't want to wait and they don't want to pay a lot of money. To do something like that here (in the us) would be ridiculously expensive. Thousands in silverware, hundreds of dollars in hour in labour, and dozens of complaints about food taking too long or being too expensive. You can get away with stuff like that in some other countries because of the lower costs and a different restaurant culture.

Maccas in Australia trialed Create Your Taste for a few years and it looked exactly the same including the fries in baskets. And we've had Mc Cafe for around ten years! I didn't realise it was seen in other countries as being luxurious. The Hong Kong store seemed to have a larger array of cakes on display and the charging platforms were cool.

This is pretty normal in Australia. We have McCafe which has all those bakery items, we have custom menus where you can customise anything with those gourmet options

We have table service in australia. Not as good as this but similar. We used to have create your taste a few years back but they canned it because they felt it was too much work to build custom burgers.

Jamie Ostellino where I live the McDonald’s here isn’t that popular so I’m often the only customer there. But the pros of this are that that take care with presentation and taste like this restaurant, maybe not as fancy but still good

I'm sure they pay their workers well at this location, which leads to better service. The one ur referring to probably are workers that are at poverty so they can't work well or even want to.. that's what happens when workers are not paid a living wage, cause they cannot take care of themselves too, which makes them tired due to lack of nutrition/self care. It's sad but true.

I live in Hong Kong, this gourmet McDonalds looks normal to me. One recently opened near the place I live and I go there quite often... just for the ice cream
