It’s amazing with these mini form factor PCs having a higher end console gaming experience with full pc functionality in something the size of 3-4 decks of cards is pretty impressive to see 🤩💪🥰👍🥳! The amount of performance increase we’ve seen in these devices after a few years has been dramatic and I’d love to see how far these devices come in another decade 😁😉

I am actually looking for a mini PC for my sister to use for home office work and a little gaming for her daughter! I saw one with a Ryzen 7 7735HS with 16gb DDR5 and 512gb of storage! The Navi compute units in the Radeon 680m+ (igpu for the Ryzen 7 7735HS) is A LOT faster than the Vega you see here. In fact, for pure compute, it's on par with an ARC 380 or the RX 6400, both cards released recently.

i have a 4yr old laptop with ryzen 5 2500u and vega 8 still gives me good fps on older titles which came before 2020 and most of the games after 2020 are trash anyways

I remember playing gta V with a 3200g during 2020, while my monitor was still my old tv. Mid to high settings at 768p and 60fps locked. Man I really enjoyed that hours spent playing with my friends during the pandemic

I still have my Ryzen 5 2400G with integrated Vega 11 graphics and it performs better than the Vega 8 in older titles while being a bit better in newer titles. It served me well until I jumped onto a cheap RX 570 and then RX 5600 XT.

This is what you get when there is zero thermal throttling and why these mini PC (and laptop) manufacturers should pay more attention to it. Add the dual channel RAM and you have an acceptable entry level system. But with single channel RAM and thermal throttling you have a POS. Well done for another great video and bravo to Blackview for making this pc. OK, I admit I don't know what the driver support will be from AMD, but yeah.

Well for the price, you can usually find a used steam deck which you can use docked or mobile and it should outperform the Vega 8 in gaming (the CPU seems to be faster though)

I have a Beelink SER5 Max (R7 5800H, 8C16T, 32GB DDR4-3200, Vega 8). It's good enough to play Crysis Warhead at 1080p, Gamer setting with frame rates at 30-40 fps. Bioshock Remastered plays maxed out at 1080p with frame rates at 100+ fps. The SER5 Max is best for older games which is fine.

I’d stick to DX12 on Fortnite with this Mini PC, the performance would be a bit lower but it’ll give you a more consistent and smoother experience

hey kryzzp!!, I recently ordered the Asus rog strix G15 and advantage edition and It has a R9 5900hx and a rx 6800m(12 gig) and 16gb ram ddr4 and 300hz refresh rate. I only want to play Fortnite and Overwatch 2 competitively and some AAA games like elden ring, Spiderman or hogwarts etc soo is it god for long term. I will upgrade the ram in future..

don't ever turn up the textures on an igpu. Try to keep vram usage limited as bandwidth to the gpu is a major problem!

It running Cyberpunk and getting 30+ fps while driving is quite impressive even at 720p low with fsr quality, the not so impressive thing is that its 350 euro...maybe if it was the 32gb ram and a 1tb storage but even then its meh.

There's nothing else at the supposed 246$ that's a prebuilt and plays games this well. Obviously if you're gaming I recommend building your own PC, then you can get better performance, as I said in the conclusion. But this is fine for what it costs.

the vega 8 is the same, the CPU part is different. Usually the desktop variants have higher TDP and more cache, so CPU performance will be higher

At your conclusion you forgot to take into account that in order for you to get the performance we saw ,you had to add another dimm of RAM ,otherwise ,as you said in the start ,with with only single-channel mode the performance would have been (🤔much?) worse than what we saw in those games.😉

With the same price you can also get the PS5 but the games are expensive, yucks! This is just 2 more fps than my Vega 7 graphics and 720p is quite rough actually. I don't mind Low settings but 1080p should be the minimum for a seeable experience. And 30 fps really depends on the monitor and PC. If it support some kind of low fps compensation then it might be useful and usable otherwise 30 fps really feel laggy because the PC or monitor dozen support any sync technology like FreeSync for example. So yeah this is underperforming and pricey for the price. Maybe older titles would be fine but for the latest and greatest titles, should have get the dedicated graphics instead. Or at least 780M but that one already on different budget range. Or save more and get a proper gaming PC. 🤷♀

I think higher end vega was pretty expensive for them to produce. Polaris wasn't, that's why they never released a vega 32 I guess

I have to wonder who are the market for these things and why do so many companies give them to gaming channels... these are not for any "serious" gamer. Even casual gaming can be done better (and cheaper). I guess very casual gaming for those who live in apartments or travel a lot? Wouldn't a laptop be better then? I don't know. I guess if you collect mini-PCs or something like Eta Prime. Well free stuff for you guys is great, but it comes across as a little desperate by these companies. That being said, these could be worth at $250 and if it had Vega 11... Vega 8 is just barely passable nowadays, considering it's weaker than the GT 1030 overall.

I have a game called final nights 3 I played it with an rtx 3060 and a ryzen 7 5800X this game came out in 2017 so it should run really good but when I enable overdrive it’s super stuttery and at one point it dropped below 30 fps does my pc have a problem or is the game just super optimized? I’ve also seen people play it way smoother even back in 2017
