I was tasked by Panda to try what's been considered the hardest combo trials in all of Street Fighter 4: Gen's trials! Earlier in the day I was never actually able to beat these, but will that change today?

i remember when Xian won evo and there were a swarm of Gen players online for the next month. not many stuck with him though, character is crazy

@@nagiiboo that’s when I swore off trying SF. SF4 was the first one I tried, and nope. Those links were crazy. Now with time I think I could play it. Still super hard.

@@LickyMyNippy understandable. After Playing SF3 for quite a while thought those combos were hard.... I was wrong when I played SF4. The timing is a pain..... The links are a pain.... Charging is a pain! Goodness the whole game is a pain. If only I played much earlier....

There was nothing more satisfying than hitting those difficult timing SFIV combos to the point that you no longer dropped them. Doing things like practising Elfuerte's RSF's was extremely therapeutic, as was doing gen's FP MK hands FADC on loop. SFIV is where I go to relax when it comes to combos for the soul, haha.

Did people actually enjoy playing sf4 mobile? Because I unironically loved playing it for the trials. I remember there was one I couldn't clear with guile though (couldn't even find any online resources to use)

Honestly, one of the most annoying things about trials is the background music. Like, it sounds cool at first, and then once you get stuck on a level, it gets annoying as hell

This brings back memories. I spent huindreds of hours trying to do these on the Xbox 360, I broke a controller doing it. Not from rage, just from attempting them. I used the analog stick back then like a fool! The title of the video should be renamed to reflect that it's only Gen's trials and TBH he's far from the hardest

Usually I get stuck on trials whenever I don't recognize the input, the move that comes before or how does it look. But overall I am very bad at inputs because I come from platform fighters

Ah yes , the good old trials. Put hours and hours into this, just to get my platinum trophies for both of the SF4 games. There were quite some disgusting trials out there. El fuerte weird cancel combo, this Gen , C. Viper etc... I'm sure I'm forgetting some hard ones.

These Gen combo's are easy with enough practice, you should try out Sako's Gen combo's - he really took it to the extreme

if he sat down and did all the trials it would probably take him 20% of the time it took you to do it

Combo execution doesn’t make you a pro, that’s a bottom skill in a game about outlasting your opponent. Not to mention doing them in tournament. It’s why in tournaments you’re rarely see pros go for the more difficult combos if the damage isn’t substantially greater. It’s why execution heavy characters don’t dominate Top 8 in majors too, no matter there tier. Being good at footsies & neutral is actually hard, especially in this day in age where FG’s revolve around offense
