The double tie did not have 1/10000 chance. It did if you two were the only two rolling, but instead you have to compute the odds of any two players tying on the top roll out of 10 players (which is about a 4.7% chance... the math is hard) followed by a 1% chance of another tie. So about a 0.047% chance overall. Source: I have a PhD in this stuff. :P

Ignoring the fact that more than 2 rolled, wouldnt it be 1 in 100,000,000, since the odds of rolling a double is 1/100 * 1/100, and then rolling 2 doulbes would be that but squared.

@@arite75 Only if you specify the number that must be rolled by both players as well. For example, if you said they both have to roll 90 at first and then both have to roll 6, in advance, then yes. But if it's just any tie, the first player rolls X and then it's 1/100 that the second player matches X.

The question I have is what happens to the lvl 25 BFD raid when lvl 25 is no longer the cap, do they nuke it back to a 5 man? I don’t see old low lvl raids getting a lot of play after the lvl cap passes it by

from what i understand, it originally WOULD heal but then quickly was hotfixed to stop working, and then they recently reverted that change so it heals again.

In high school, I just straight up never did any homework. Yeah... I just refused to do it and then in 10th grade before my second semester, I just dropped out and went to various other kinds of schools to try and get through highschool with less work, but that didn't really work, so I decided to take a test to get my GED equivalency and that worked finally. It's a big shame they don't do that anymore, because lots of kids could test out of school instead of suffering through it. Had I done something with my early exit from high school (16 y/o), that would have been better, but I'm doing well now so whatever.

In my opinion, as someone who had never played WoW in my entire life prior to the unofficial HC addon, the guys you listed were basically the "founders" of HC WoW. So they were the guys at the very beginning playing like this before there was even an addon. That being said, they certainly did not make it popular, it was only known within a very specific niche classic WoW community. Xaryu and others, have a much larger reach. They helped spread the word of it, both to people who had never even thought about playing WoW before (like myself) and to the Blizzard devs to realize that an official HC version of classic is actually a viable project. And as much as this recent "OnlyFangs" venture by Sodapoppin is not really my cup of tea, it's helped grow Classic Wow in 2023 to massive levels like never before, just purely by the enormous reach all these streamers have through Twitch and KZfaq

Hunters' ranged attacks have a much lower miss chance than melee attacks or spell resists FYI... They do miss, but much less (like 8% hit needed for raid bosses IIRC).

Ranged attacks can’t glance. They either hit for full damage or miss. All other damage sources can be glanced or partially resisted so. Without the innate giant % of glance, hunters hit for full damage around 40-60% of the time. Pets still glance which is why they don’t do big dam

There is something I don't understand, why can we go into SM as 10 ? Can we do that on classic ? Were we able to do it before in vanilla ? I never knew we could go into SM as 10 ? Especially since, it doesn't look like a SoD raid ? Did they, like, plan on doing SoD raid in SM, didn't release it in phase 1 but let the 10 man raid setting available ?

Its left over from them changing bfd. You absolutely could not do this in retail vanilla or classic. What you COULD do is you could always go into dungeons far lower than you should be

Because 10 people rolled the first time, it was less than a 1/10000 probability for 2/10 people to roll the same number. It’d be 1/10000 for 1 person to roll the same number back to back times, or for 2/2 ppl to roll the same number like what happened with the 2nd roll

So for him to roll a 99 was 1/100, same for you that's 1/10,000. Then there's another 1/10,000 for you both getting a 6. Take that together it's 1/100,000,000. You have to look at the entire sequence of odds not just the individual occurance. Source: Math degree

I completely understand what Mitch is talking about. I LOVE playing wow after either work or school. But on the day I'm not doing anything, I lose the desire to play almost completely. It's almost like you've got to earn the play. I'm always like "oh yea, I'm not doing anything this weekend, I'm going to play wow the entire time." but then the weekend comes and I don't even feel like playing, it's weird.
