2.5 hrs is DEFINITELY not enough time to make a perfect cake XD. For the time given she did an amazing job and honestly it looked better than those of the contestants on the show XD

In Nailed it they get cake mix, frosting mix, and freeze blaster freezers which makes it TREMENDOUSLY easier so can’t forget that!

I like how in shows like Sugar Rush, where contestants are all professional bakers to begin with, they literally say "4 hours is BARELY enough time to make a cake" and on Nailed It it's just "2.5 hours, take it or leave it" 😂

I bake cakes for birthdays and holidays (only for my family tho because I'm not allowed to sell them). Usually when I do something with fondant it's a two day prozess. I could do it in one day but I let the cakes chill over night and the butter warms over night as well so the cake is definitly chilled and the butter definitly soft. The fondant cover is also chilling for an hour at least so it doesn't rip while decorating. So making this cake in two and a half hours is nearly impossible

Having watched Jasmine’s struggle, I now think that the way to save time is to work with the fondant while waiting for the cakes to cool. All those details, the surfer, the teeth, etc, could be made while you wait. I think this video really shows that cooling is worth the wait-you spend less time and mental energy trying to solve the new problems you get when the cake isn’t structural. But Jasmine did amazing! I learned so much.

Ya gotta let the cake cool fully, then chill it again after frosting it! Plus u need cake boards above the dowels, otherwise the cake will smoosh through

Is a vety short of time but maybe if you prepare the fundant decoration, the cakes can be a little more time on the fridge and then wait for get set with the cromecout(?). I love how it looks, is like a chibi, so you Nailed It, until it fall appart xD.
