A note on the banana peels: I actually use it as "chicken" and it tastes amazing! I believe you jumped one step, and that's what made it taste weird for you (probably). Before marinating the peels, you have to soak them in lemon juice diluted with a bit of water for about 20min to make the bitterness go away. Just then you would marinate it to get some taste in. Try it again some time, I believe it's worth a try! :)

Edgy Veg actually covers the grapefruit recipe's history in her video. It's actually a Cuban dish that was invented during a terrible depression where the poor had no access to meat. It ended up becoming a dish that people still eat today.

Anything that has weird taste like grapefruit skin you have to make the bad taste go away before attempting to make it edible! Choose the grapefruit with thick skin, peel off the skin a little deeper, make sure all the skin is off, then rub salt or soak it in salty water, squeeze it out a few times, taste it to see if its bland taste, then season it! Hopefully this’ll help Ashley!

If you find yourself craving something that isn't vegan, there are *so* many substitutions that you can have instead. You can do it. 🖤 if you are ever struggling and think that you are going to eat meat, watch the documentary "Earthlings". It broke my heart, I couldn't even make it through more than a minute. 💔 However don't forget that nobody is perfect and if you slip up, don't beat yourself up over it! You are making a difference even if you only eat 1 vegan meal a day. 🖤 Make sure that you take a vitamin B supplement because that is one of the ones that you can't get. There's a Challenge 22 group that helped me so much. They have a 22 day challenge that you can do multiple times and then a graduates group. challenge22.com/

@@MarisaRose1 thank you so much for the advice! I've been wanting to go vegan for a while and I just decided to make it happen. Don't worry about my eating meat or wanting eggs, milk- I'm already too scarred for that. I just hope that I can keep up a healthy relationship with myself and food. 😊❤💚💜

i actually do the banana peel thing all the time and love it. think ur pieces were too big and u should put in some vinegar or lemon juice for like 20 mins before seasoning it

Excellent video and to do the Grapefruit recipe that was done by the Edgy Veg and did you put your own twist to the recipe. When I make recipes I usually add an additional ingredient or some times I have to substitute for a ingredient.

in my opinion the headband is very cute. i personally like it, but whatever you feel. if you don’t love it, then don’t keep it. you have to feel confident with it :))
