I came here searching for ideas on how to make watercolor images. A friend is having a silent auction and is asking for crafts. I told her I used to sketch and watercolor, but have not created in decades. So I thought I still would like to try, and am astounded such amazing art can be done with just watercolors. It truly is amazing and beautiful. Very inspiring work.

I hope you can create a painting for the Greek Goddess Hestia / Vesta. I feel like she has the least representation (paintings or sculptures) among the Olympians. At times, she is not even included as one.

Another reason why the owl is traditionally associated with wisdom is that owls can see in the dark, being dark a metaphor of ignorance. So where others would get stuck in the dark, the owl can see and escape. Amazing painting by the way :)

Your skills as a portrait artist are quite good, one can not offer any suggestions there but I think a background color would greatly enhance Athena &the owl: perhaps a dark deep blue?? And also help the art to feel complete. It’s feels unfinished without at least some color behind part of the figure… Best wishes of success- you are hardworking and talented.
