When you watch a true craftsman at work it’s amazing. Doesn’t matter if they are a shoe repairer a chef or a metal turner. This is as good as watching Da Vinci paint the Mona Lisa or Stradivarius make violins.

Probably the most satisfying video I have seen in a very long time. I second the person who thanked you for not putting music to this. Let the sounds of your work stand on their own. This is a great concept but I understand not wanting to put a lot of them together to sell. Metal work can be time consuming for small lot projects. The resulting items can be expensive because of the hours invested. Overall, this is a great design and very cool item!

I do agree with other comments as would love to see the Lock Picking Lawyer get his hands on this lock! You really should sell them as people will pay a good price for them knowing how much time and effort goes into making them as they would be a real talking point when showing friends...well done and look forward to seeing more content 👍

@Twisted Life Both. Getting a prescription these days involves multiple referrals and visits to pain management specialists, and the pharmacy price before/without insurance is about $1.00/pill for the lowest dosage. $3.00 to $5.00/ea. moving up the amount of hydrocodone (the active ingredient) in each pill. Very scarce to get a prescription, and very sought after by people looking for a quick high.

Immaculately fabricated and beautifully shot. Can I just say that, aside from your clear machining skills, your lighting is just perfect? It's easy to mess that up and this video was a pleasure to watch.

Excellent work! He was using Sherline miniature machine tools, which are light and small, and his mill and lathe cost perhaps $1,200? Tooling, cutters, are pricey though. Point being, ANYONE can learn to do this, with some focus and drive, and it is very satisfying. I taught myself manual machining years ago, and it has given me much pleasure over decades.

@@ronmartin3755 - Believe me, many, many of my projects went into a scrap bin! It's like wood working, you start with a bird house, eventually make nice stuff, but yes it does take time. This was definitely some nice work. Cheers!

Started out as operator, up to a 5-axis NC, but then CNC came out. Should have been a toolmaker and really learned the craft. The first day of CNC our boss was so proud. He put a big aluminum blank in the Miller to make a transmission case, and all the operators stood there, as ticker tape spit out the tool moves. But the whirring mill hiccuped, paused, then plowed sideways thru the wall of the aluminum case, then down and buried itself red-hot into the mill bed, as the mill motor exploded in smoke. : )
