I'm a carpenter in the middle of fifties. Woodworking is far from my major job. I may stand somewhere between hobby carpenter and expert. So my skill hasn't matured fully and I make many mistakes in the videos. I hope you would forgive me generously.
A late bloomer carpenter's woodworking diary. This is the motto of my channel. I enjoy making furniture and videos. And using my leisure time I make videos and share how I make and my idea that comes to my mind. Those are sometimes childish and sometimes not too bad. What I want is you just enjoy watching one or two of my videos and fly to other channels better than mine.
I'd like to progress my woodworking skills through struggle to make furniture and videos. And I hope those can help you encouraged for woodworking.

I think this is the simplest way to dovetail rather than having jigs and setting jigs here and there. good job and thank you for this wonderful way of dovetail.

Flawless execution. Powermatic would be proud of your use of their table saw. Table saws are fare more versatile that people think. I think this is why they come with miter jigs...it just brings SO much to the table...pun intended! Great video buddy!

Surprisingly effective but probably actually faster to do by hand with a decent dovetail saw, coping or fret saw and chisel.

Very very useful video! I knew I could do it on a table saw but all I saw were people making jigs to do it. The only part I don’t get (most likely the simplest) is the paper folding technique. I see that you fold it in half but I’m wondering about the smaller outer folds. Are these measured or it it simply random where it bent and that will be the point

Great tutorial. It is a pity that in Italy it is almost impossible to find saw banks that can mount blades of different thicknesses

Gianni Barbiera, Two solutions First « Tenor 23L01252 » saw blade can be mount on major europeen saw without modification. Second but expansive, Do you try dado on a Dewalt 7492? In France it s work Regards

This is great, but you really could speed things up with sleds so that you can get close cuts with faster confidence. A 90deg sled with a 14deg wall and 14deg sled with a 90deg wall. You'd be 2x-3x faster over time.

What measurements do you use when you fold the paper to make your dovetails, and at what angle is your saw set to cut them?

That's not constant. that's different whenever I work. It's up to material sizes, cutters and structure. The angle is the same too. But I usually use 14 degrees.
