As a lifetime Ryu main this makes me so happy to see. Punk you are extremely skilled as he is able to basically master Ryu combos so quickly. Ryu is the most frustrating character to play since SFV as sometimes it feels as if certain throw techs or level 3 reactions don't work it is hard to explain and as a Ryu main guile and deejay are annoying match ups they have better normals and can fireball with you. But the point of playing Ryu is to be all about self-improvement and always chasing the next challenge.

I feel like Ryu needs to be able to store 3 denjin and shoot it whenever he wants to. Could make it where if you hold down the button he'll use the denjin and make it amplify his shoryuken also.

He seems to hit hard and you have to be patient in the nuetral area. Guiles lenght was a problem, but the misses meant trouble. It think your buttons or controls messed you up a bit. Good video.

When the beta was out I played a lot of Ryu. When the game came out it was all Ken for me and I felt Ryu sucked until I went back to him just recently. One thing about Ryu… he might not have as many moves or is able to pressure as much as some of the other fighters. He leaves himself open, combos not that flashy….. BUT his damage output in just a few hits is crazy!!!

Saw someone else suggest denjin charge have a light, medium and heavy version where only the corresponding specials are affected. So if you use light denjin charge only light hadouken is affected. Idk if all versions of hashogeki actually get used or not so maybe it'd be better to keep all of them affected for combo capabilities. You'd most likely only do medium charge and use light and medium fireballs, then when you get a combo you can use whatever hashogeki is best and they all get you big damage. Maybe this would just be too strong since Ryu would essentially always have access to the denjin combos, but atm he could do with some buffs and this could be a cool one.

s.lp, DR-4hp is a combo apparently. And DR 4hp, hp hashogeki is a combo, for the juggle. Big damage for a s.lp combo.

Hello i don't understand how to follow up your tiger kick with a dp, is that because of the drive rush or because it's a medium tiger kick into small dp ?

That last W was filthy i have the hardest time w Guile matchups, he adjusted an Double P’d that mf for the win! That had me soooo Hype!!!

I don't think that Ryu is the worst because of lack of tools. He theoretically has everything. He just doesn't abuse the drive system like everyone else. And he has no gimmicks. Double P for the Alpha Academy. Bars.
