@@rockinryguy7 Yes, much like in Portuguese it's João. And the Portuguese had at least six kings named Joao that I remember. The biblical names John, Joseph, Peter and so on were so common in Iberia and in the colonial Americas that you can just google the most common names and they are always there. I bet Ludi used it but, much due to US influence, Christianity in Latin America has morphed into the protestant evangelical and cult of prosperity thing. So lately there are less New Testment names, more obscure Old Testment names to show off the parents knowledge of old biblical characters (or simply because of the soap operas based on the Bible 😅). Also, people use more and more diverse names from media. In Brazil, we had a fever of Italian names like Enzo, Valentina and Sophia. So the newest generations have much less João's, José's and Pedro's.

The thing about Spain lacking wood int the market at the beginnning is very historical (probably one of the few historical aspects of Sàin they actually did well), most wood used here in the 19th century was imported because the forests here were already very reduced, the wood came mostly from the baltic, and in those times my town was a heavy trade partner of Riga, we imported wood and kümel in great quantities.

I am very much annoyed at how Paradox has always dealt with legislation and other internal affairs. In a way, CK 2 and Vic 2 had come closer to what I consider acceptable. I mean, as a supreme ruler, you should be able to pass pretty much any legislation, then deal with the backlash. Things like factions and revolutions, first presenting demands, then picking up arms. Of course, in a parlamentary system you would need support and the necessary votes. Or at least you should be limited to only moving one step at a time if you move for an Executive order/decree, which should also have a backlash. Instead of the hurdle being passing legislation, it should be more about dealing with the pushback and possible rebellions. For instance, in any monarchy or dictatorship, you should be able to drastically change things, but it would lead to revolt and civil war to do it day 1. Because that is basically how most centralized nations operate, instead PDX creates event chains for a couple of nations and a barely working system for the rest.
